Michael was such an important yet criminally underrated guitarist throughout the 70's. He along with EVH, Shawn Lane, Buck Dharma, Tony Iommi, Eric Johnson and a handful of others were instrumental in getting the 80's shred guitar movement off the ground. Plus, he wrangled some balls-out heavy tone from that Gibson Flying V!
