Hands down the top dogs of the seventies and into the eighties, so many number one hits that never got the recognition they deserved. If you look back, there were too many fly by night bands coming into the scene taking the exposure away from them when they deserved it the most. Phil Moog was right up there with Plant, Daltrey and Jagger and I don't even want to start with Schenker on where he belonged on the list of great guitarists during that era. Thank God we were able to be around back then to witness UFO do their magic. Good Stuff

It’s interesting how riffs from Metallica and Mercyful Fate resemble those of UFO. The Flying V guitar, which symbolizes Accept and Metallica, was already used by UFO in the 1960s. Their beginnings in the 1960s also suggest that they were the earliest pioneers of hard rock and heavy metal. Very admirable.

As a kid in the early 90's I had no idea who UFO was until one of my neighbors bought all the vinyl from a small town radio station that went bankrupt. He invited me and some other neighborhood kids to come in his garage and see the collection..hundreds of vinyl records and even some tapes...but all from the late 60's to mid 80's when the radio station went bust.
