With all due respect, i didn’t hear one scientist commenting on the tictac ufo footage say, ‘that’s interesting. Can i get more footage of this?” They scoffed, sir. In 1976, I, and 4 of my friends, stopped our station wagon on a dark road and watched a saucer rise out of a corn field a hundred yards in front of us. We exited the car and watched it slowly rise to just above the tree line. It then turned bright orange and immediately, yet quietly, shot horizontally across the trees out of sight. Nothing in this world could explain what I saw. They say technology is 20 or 30 years ahead of what the public knows. This was 44 years ago and nothing exists that could come close to doing what I saw then......

"He saw something weird" well that's one way of downplaying it 😂. I dont know if Fravor saw aliens or not, but a phenomena that defies a navy pilot's understanding (despite extensive experience and education) of propulsional physics is definitely worth extensive investigation in my opinion. Even if its just another country having incredibly advanced tech...that's still huge!

And it wasn’t even just the pilots seeing these things. It was going on for weeks and picked up on multiple radar systems on warships. It’s a very convincing story when you look into it. These objects seem to be real things and they were doing extraordinary things that no one can explain.

So how about the understanding of a run of the mill person like me, a carpenter and a farmer, when we see a phenomenon that defies our understanding of the laws of nature. I have seen these objects at close range, in broad daylight, and like many like me have also seen what I believe to have been actual Aliens. They can not be scientifically investigated for the very simple reason, they, so far as I am aware, leave no physical footprint behind, except in the memories of those who see them, a cast iron ploy of theirs, so they come and go at will and the vast majority deny their very existence

We know that there are no planets with life close to us, plus the secret projects that would benefit from people believing in aliens. Most people agree that there must be life in the universe, but people who meet aliens always say they are from a planet that we later learn is not ideal for life. Mars, Neptune etc. Plus the saucers match our knowledge of aerodynamics in a noticable way, back in the 40's they almost had wood paneling. So there is enough reason to doubt it, most of all how they started appearing as we conquered the sky, and mainly in the country with the biggest defence budget. There could very well be aliens on earth, I don't know, but there are a lot of people who would like for us to think that.

I have a lot of respect for Alex and I've heard some of his great lectures regarding blackholes. But it's disappointing to hear him say like many other skeptics have said that it's not likely that extraterrestrial beings could travel lightyears in a short period of time. I'm so sick of hearing that bs. Go back a few hundred years and tell people of the past that you could traverse the world in a matter of hours. Of course they're going to call bullshit because they think "How in the hell could that be possible!? There's no way a horse drawn carriage could go that fast!" It smacks of ignorance and arrogance. Just because our knowledge of physics is incomplete, doesn't automatically mean all other races of intelligent beings in our universe are just as ignorant. Especially when you consider that other intelligent races have been around for millions of years before our solar system even began!

The other side of the coin is people that talk into constant echo chambers on the likes of twitter and facebook re-enforcing their own cognitive dissonance, and to say that an astrophysicist doesn't know what he's talking about compared to some dude in his moms basement that see's a UFO and automatically comes to the conclusion "aliens" when he looks up at the sky kinda proves the point i'm making.

Lex this was a good interview but you should have brought up Alcubierre drive. Alcubierre drive is a solution to the theory of relativity that lets you warp space-time to travel faster than light. To build an Alcubierre drive need negative mass, or... anti gravity. Anti gravity -> interstellar travel.

One summer night, back in 1965, I was gazing up at a beautiful, clear star filled sky. Suddenly what I thought was a star, moved quickly to the right, stopped, dropped straight down, stopped again and shot across the sky to my left. It had red and green flashing lights, and sped at a high rate of speed, out of sight. When I say, high rate of speed, I mean compared to passenger planes, which I was used to seeing coming and going from Buffalo airport.

These craft aren't breaking the laws of physics. They're using a form of field propulsion, not conventional Newtonian. They aren't moving through space, they're making space move them. If this makes you think of Star Trek's "warp", it should. Unfortunately the scientific establishment can be so very blinkered.

@Axel Stabursvik that's crazy.. I was raised in the rural foothills somewhat close to Beale AFB and have seen some bizarre things in the night sky over the years.. one night I dropped acid with a small group of friends, one of which was sober, and we all went out into the nearby woods and laid down in a nice grassy meadow, looking up at the sky.. at one point a bright white/yellowish triangle appeared above us, just radiating in place. We all looked at our sober friend and managed to spit out a few words: What is that man?! His eyes squinted and all he kept saying: I don't know! There are some things in this world far away from our current understanding.. but our minds have the ability to find them. Sometimes I think they keep the truth from us because they don't want us all tapping into our power. Hard to control people when they discover that they're all individual God's...

@@skyblue9991 I'm open to the idea of some day being able to breakdown and explain things that seem impossible through our current understanding.. but I'm also open to the idea that some things are just outside the realm of measurement and understanding.. the attitude that sometimes comes from hardcore science types, carries all the same negative qualities of dogmatic blind faith and allegiance that are often found in radical religious groups.. we are fortunate enough to have a wide variety of tools and scopes, each of which have a time and place to shine.. none of which should be ranked far above the rest and rendered the end-all/be-all answer to anything and everything. Sometimes it's more prudent to understand the limitations of something, rather than attempting to force everything into one box and assume you'll be proven right over time. Besides.. there's so much beauty in the unknown.. why should anyone be in a hurry to take that away

Yeah too bad no one will ever take it seriously. You can have all the evidence in the world and unexplainable phenomena documented and the intelligentsia will still dismiss it all out of hand. Most ppl, regardless of how much evidence you present, will obstinately fall back on what they believe their worldview to be. Politics, science, you name it. When ppl invest their identity in certain ideas there is no divorcing them from those ideas because that is asking them to re examine their entire self and identity. Good luck with that.

Astronomers expertise is stars ,planets, heavenly bodies light years away . Ufos are mostly seen close up . The field of view through a telescope is very narrow . An astronomer is no more qualified to talk of ufos than a pilot or policeman . In fact the last person i would ask about unknown phenomena is an astronomer . The comment he made about astronomers he just copied from carl sagan because he is too lazy to think of a better answer,by the way carl sagan was wrong
