hallo Alexa, your jacket is ultracool!!! while your video was playing I was thrilled just like you.....!!!! the manual is wonderful, I'll buy myself a copy, that's for shure. another thing I'll buy is the double purple vynil album of the u.f.o. soundtrack, because I really love barry gray's music. I already have a 1997 bootleg cd, and other files, but I want a physical media, after all, I'm a rrecords collector! ciao

I NEED that book! I love the series and the vehicles, but the fashion always impressed me too. The men’s jackets were so cool. I hope they come back in style some day!

I seem to remember that in the first episode of UFO there's a brief scene which shows that the moonbase changing rooms have special glass, which allows you to see out, but not in.

I will go back and rewatch it!

Ayshea, pronounced Eye- Sha, or Ayshea Brough was primarily a TV presenter but she did some acting singing and dancing. Her character is Lt Johnson, but I don't think anyone calls her that at all. Her details can be found on Wikipedia. Btw- Peter Cordeno a professional dancer too, played Captain Carlin. He was well known in musical and variety shows and even choreographed and coached Tom Jones and Twiggy. His agent foolishly, or wisely, advised him his role of Carlin could typecast him and affect his dancing career, so he left after only 6 episodes.

Thank you! And I wondered about Captain Carlin - he has a poise about him that this explains!

I was half way through the video when I noticed the Jacket 😲 . I never got a sense of scale of a uufoe craft from the show.

Get yourself the Space:1999 book as soon as you can! And if you can afford them, the Joe 90 and Fireball XL5 manuals as well. The level of quality is maintained throughout. Incidentally, the style, and some of the illustrations, for the Space:1999 book are being used in the new RPG. It looks like they're trying to keep things consistent.

I wonder if the UFO interior schematic (which does a very neat job of implying how they manage to fit enough travel and cargo space into a vessel that seems to have very little solid structure) implies that SHADO finally managed to get one mostly intact. Or even that Paul's abduction in "Ordeal" was based on more than vivid imagination and alcohol.

I believe so - they have a whole section on a vehicle that drives out to UFO crash sites to immediately immerse what is left in water so they can study it. Presumably after multiple investigations they were able to piece it together. Since Foster would have seen all the results, his feverish dream was likely pretty accurate!

Where can I find a SHADO patch such as the one you have on your uniform?
@teainthemidlands3 ай бұрын
There are various places that sell them, that one is from: www.fabgearusa.com/ufo-s-h-a-d-o-patch/ but I think they might be currently sold out.
