Sizing the airflow pocket for a phone is brilliant. You can easily move a phone between the outer convenience pocket and the more theft-protected airflow pocket. Between them, you can attach a cable tether to the elastic inside the main zipper pocket.

@@MobileAura yes there is!! All up in your junk and cradle'n your cheeks is too much for people to see. With your shorts so high that a testicle is actually just about to pop out, but you're walk'n around talk'n bout "there's no such thing in shorts being to short". Meanwhile the little kid you just traumatized, came to the realization that's not how they want to dress when they get older, walk away chuckle'n at you, as you bend over to pick up your inhaler...and your not even asthmatic 🤦🏾

Was pretty excited to see this in my sub feed after looking for a good pair of work shorts for my new construction job. Cool that you've integrated the new belt system but it's a real shame that you cut costs an d got rid of the width adjustment and having that over the knee option
@thomasarminwagner62463 жыл бұрын
Actually the modified knee section was not cost driven, but came as a feedback from our customers

(damn, once again such a long comment... sorry xD) First of all: I love the fact that you turned towards a lighter and somewhat more breatheable pair of shorts! Length: I gotta agree with other people saying the longer length was perfect. That way the Gen 1 even sit well when kneeling or sitting. And if you wanted it more short you could simply fold the lower part upwards easily. I'm hoping it's not too short now, but it sure will be more breatheable this way :) Flex waist / belt: The flex waist belt combo is, like with the Striker ULT, great stuff! I could not really see it, but are the belt loops single loops and not like with the Gen 1 two belt loops, one being buttoned up? I'm asking cause when switching between pants (and since I don't have belts for all of them) it is great to be able to quickly detach the belt. Then again you have flex waist belt which possibly makes a belt, unless a duty belt, kinda obsolete... hmm so it could work. Another question: There is no D-Ring at the front belt loop anymore, is there? I'm using that one a lot on my Gen 1 as using the belt loop for hooking up keys or carabiners is a little more fiddly in my opinion. Pouches: First of all, I'm curious to see how the mesh netting for ventilation will work out! But I love that you kept the vertical zipper (as it is SO useful when f.e. sitting in a car) and the flap to securing either magazines or the phone on the outside - that is a feature I don't want to miss... ever :) Am I seeing right that you still have the back zipper pouches? To sum up: + slightly lighter fabrics + mesh ventilation zips on the side pouches + vertical zipper for side pockets + magazine / phone flap on outside side pocket - shorter length (still hoping it is not too short and it definitly makes the shorts slightly lighter) Things I'm not sure about: + back zipper pouches? - no D-Ring at front belt loop? +- no buttoned up secondary belt loop? (might not be needed anyways due to the flex waist belt) All in all still a great pair of shorts and I'm looking forward to buying it! Thanks for the product spotlight!
@mashbivouac3 жыл бұрын
ok sooo got my shorts today! first to clear up my open questions: - back zipper pouches still there - no D-Ring at the front belt loop, but at least a loop possibility to hook f.e. an carabiner into at the belt loop (I'd still prefer a D-Ring though) - front belt loops are doubled ones but instead being buttoned they use velcro now (would have preferred buttons) I think the changed location of the small tool pouches from the front thigh to just behind the side pouch is great and I do like the inner compartments of the side pouches being replaced by elastic straps to hold stuff! The 3D breathable padding in the back is fantastic and the shorts fit well. Only gotta get used to the new belt system (which works great btw) as I'm used to wearing cobra buckle belts, but otherwise it is an amazing pair of shorts! :) Thank you for making the Gen 2 Shorts happen, UF PRO!

I hope you make the vents standard on all your future pants. They have been super effective so far and disappear when you don't need them. I love it. The gen.2 are an improvement in every other aspect as well.

...How do I wash this? Is the washing machine at 40°C fine?
@ufprogear2 жыл бұрын
Our gear can be washed at 40°C with regular washing powder/gel, but please make sure it does not contain bleach. We also do not recommend using fabric softener as well as putting the gear into a drying machine, as it might damage the fibers and the fabrics can loose some of their functions. If you want to preserve colors as good as possible, we also suggest you turn the clothes inside out.

What's with all the seemingly sudden mentions of snus in all the latest videos? Is it really popular in Slovenia, or have some of the UFP staff recently decided to quit smoking? Nice shorts by the way, although not really my thing - I need nothing more than my P-40s... well, maybe some Striker XTs and HTs!

Dissapointed to see that the strap for securing a phone didn’t evolve. My phone slipped out several times when running. It’s nice without action but when you start to move fast and dynamic it doesn’t hold the phone down.

also not quite big enough for the larger smartphones (note 8)
@ufprogear3 жыл бұрын
Hey! The phone strap has actually gone through slight modification, so the phone fits better in your pocket and relieves some pressure off the strap. This should further decrease the chances of your phone falling out.

@Dan Trebune true but when was the last time someone needed it that short? 70s? Most Guys i see with Shorts wear kneepads and or leggings Underneath it to protect there legs. With all that clutter on i always say, lighter normal summer Pants - less problems. Can carry more, Can be worn in more Places, protects u better from the Sun and rocks/ dirt + no need for big heavy kneepads. Just use the slip in one from uf pro. This reason alone makes this Pants for me a Vacation Pants and useless in my Job. 👍 For Holidays on the Beach … nothing better then this.
