Uganda finalizes pact with UAE firm to develop oil refinery

Uganda is set to begin crude oil production in 2025 following the finalization of negotiations with a UAE-based firm. Government officials anticipate the new refinery will add value to the country's oil resources and significantly boost its economy.

SA even having advanced space program, nuclear research and tech doesn't conflict with it's role in the "rules based international order". High value economic activities are ALLOWED. No sanctions, regime change or destabilisation required. Whereas ...

This crap has gone on for more than 20 years ,Ugandans are fed up of these promises ,it took dangote 5 years yet a whole government isn't close after 20 plus years

Government is leaving its citizen out they would partner in the refinery by buying shares and enjoy in the profits like the renaisence dam in Ethiopia

@@arnoldsimon102 No you don't understand. The Renaissance Damn in Ethiopia was a national project funded by the small donations of the citizens of Ethiopia with minimal additional funds from China. Africa has to think about the collective power of its people🙄
