Thanks sis...the greens are "tender cowpea leaves and the "magadi" is soda Ash. Thanks for showcasing Acholi recipe. Some of my Indian brothers and sisters have noticed some similarities in the cooking. There have been some Indian influences in our Acholi cooking courtesy of the many Indians who were traders in Uganda before Idi Amin expelled them in the 70s. Those were turbulent times in our country. Meanwhile much love to you all.

Today one of your vedio came to my wall and I just clicked it and watched it. Now I’m watching it. Because I’m really eager to know about how African people works. These vedios are kinda familiar to me because of my parents childhood lifestyle 1970-1980. I’m from Sri Lanka 🇱🇰. Still our rural areas lifestyle is kinda similar to these vedios. Lots of 3rd world countries including my country are trying to get over poverty. I really appreciate your effort to show about Africa. I really hope you and your country's well being. I’m a NILOTE too, but somehow I can understand the South Sudanese language some as those are our roots, but yours just a little . It’s interesting how our languages have stark differences, though some words are common.

Lamera! It looks so beautiful to showcase our pure African cooking. I love Boo/cowpeas leaves so much. Just an advice next time you use magadi, soak it in warm water then strain leaving the grains of sand from it out. However, perfect work done with lots of love!!
