This was one of the greatest shows on TV in the mid to late 2000s. I hated when it was prematurely canceled after four seasons. It should've lasted for at least six. Although Betty Suarez was the lead, Ugly Betty wouldn't have been anything without Wilhelmina Slater.

Wilhelmina was just a character that you could of kind of see behind the power driven women and understand her as a person. Well I did. I felt her emotions and how she just wants to be on top to be accepted because before she was just like Betty and probably had a hard time growing up and drove her to be mean but at the same time deep down she had a caring heart😊

Wilhelmina is an anti villain. yes she definitely did some fucked up things, forcing christina to have a baby definitely being the worst, but on the other hand. she really was owed that editor in chief position daniel got only through nepotism, and she is a victim of an environment she helped create. There were episodes where she clearly shows desperation with the pressure to stay young and thin, and it's kind of like she is trapped in it. Yeah she contributes to hurting other women by working in this industry, but also this industry is all she has and she has to keep conforming, which hurts her too. she's tragic in a way for that, definitely a grey morality character
