started bingewatching Ugly Betty since they put it on Netflix. Parts of that show didn't age spectacularly well but it was very progressive for its time. And funny as hell. 4 seasons of Daniel Meade slowly falling in love with his geeky assistant. I'm still mad they didn't actually kiss on screen in the finale. He literally followed her to another country because he couldn't deal with her being so far away.

I think after Betty’s final relationship and her higher up in the magazine they were going to have eachother fall in love but then the show got canceled

Alexis whole character is being the trans character, mostly of the jokes are about her being trans, it didn't aged well at all, but back then, a trans character on a show was pretty progressive​@@Toymonkeyjr

Am I crazy that I love that it didn't age well? As much as most things aren't okay to say today & it's for the best, it's kinda refreshing to go back to a time when things could be joked about & nobody was sensitive over it 😂❤

Ugly Betty is such a good show and the only reason I think it ended was because it got moved to the Friday night death slot. With how tv works today I think a reboot would be a huge success and I would be very excited to watch.
