I think people who truly appreciate these videos, realize that you could have finished much quicker and easier if you were not filming. But you take the time to film it so that we who are looking for this video to give us help and guidance would be able to find it. Huge help and thank you so much! Keep doing what you do!

BRO, I just swapped my alternator out of my van last night in a damn parking lot near where it quit on me. I watched this video pretty much while I was working.. only one on YT that was same make and model. You saved my ass man. Thanks, peace.

Thanks for the great video! I replaced it on my 2006 e150. It took me about 2 hours to do, given I had never done it before. I probably spent like, at least half and hour just trying to find all the right pieces in the garage tho lol. All of my nuts and bolts were really jammed in there, so it took a long time just to get them out. Never the less, great video, really saved my ass this weekend! ♡♡♡ For anyone reading this, I replaced mine with a remanufactured O'Riley's Ultima 130a. So if it craps out anytime soon, I'll come back and let y'all know.

Thanks Rusty, my 2006 E250 was running fine and all of a sudden the gauges flatlined. I was like WTF? Then I realized there was a light on the dash, looked like a red devil, but in the shape of a car battery! Rut ro... Went and had it checked at Advance Auto, picked up a replacement alternator and came home and hit up the KZbin, and it was Rusty to the rescue!! My man! Thanks for taking the time to send that out, I wouldn't have known how to get around the belt tensioner, and the sequence you went through.You are The Man! Thanks brother, for thinking of us!!

Great video, I just had to replace my alternator in the driveway of a friend's house while the temperature was 9 degrees Fahrenheit that didn't have tools so I REALLY appreciated the fact that you included all the sizes needed so I didn't have to go retrieve more tools in the middle, it was more like work 3 min warm up in the truck for 10 then work again for 3 min! ! Thanks a lot!

Thank you for this video! I just had to change the battery in my 01 e250 and needed to know about the alternator *just in case* that’s why it died. Great to know the serpentine belt is right there, too! Probably will be a good time to replace when I do the alternator. You broke it down so clearly, I know I'll be able to do it when it's time.

that vid was great except for the most important part- we couldn't see exactly how that tensioner loosens and tightens ? did you have to pry it with a bar while tightening it with the 1/2 inch ?????

I need that drill because the old fashion wrench is annoying but it does get the job done.
I just removed the air filter cover and the snoot and left the rest of the air intake on it. Had plenty of room to get to the alternator.

Why does a dead car starts when an alternator is tapped by the leads?
@peterlaurancearmenio55452 жыл бұрын
Hey thanks a lot for making this video KZbin is valuable to all of us what would be the normal voltage on the alternator not connected to the battery and then when it is connected to the battery my onboard diagnostics is indicating that my voltage is too high and I just noticed the acid leaking on the negative terminal so it’s definitely getting overcharged on my end should it be going directly to the alternator or to a charging block thanks

I have a 2008 e 250 and auto zone shows different plugs d shape and some other plus lists 2 different pulley options I believe . Is there an easy way to know which I need without tearing everything apart to see it ?
@uglyhp82253 жыл бұрын
nope because their system is constantly wrong best way is to take yours off and match it up in store also i would not recommend buying from autozone the parts they sell are complete junk and you will be changing that alternator more then once
