I have one of these DXP480T systems. I ordered it at the Kickstarter price, knowing what I would get in regard to capacity and capability. I was not disappointed. Performance is good both in regard to CPU for on-device applications and network. It does take advantage of the 10G NIC. I have not used the USB4/Thunderbolt ports thus far. It's a nice looking, silent machine. I have one test Windows 11 VM running on it and performance is very good, though I am not looking to replace a couple of ESXi PowerEdge servers with this little NAS. All in all, a nice device, though its retail price is probably out of line for most uses and applications.

All I need is to see him actually be able to saturate the 10 Gigabit connection.

Hey, good video as usual. Since you guys are in the ripping media / local storage space, would love to hear you weight in on declining Bluray sales and releases. Where is high-end media consumption going to go? I have a Zidoo and love owning my own high quality media, stored locally on a NAS. I absolutely don't want to go down the Kaleidescape route.

Dang Ugreen’s NAS devices are expensive. And some of them, including this one, draw way too much power. I would go with something built off of a Mac Mini or wait for NAS devices with the upcoming low power x86 from AMD and Intel. This seems like a bad time to purchase a prebuilt NAS. Either you get a slow ARM or x86 device or a power hungry x86 device. Just wait it out or build your own.

I was just commenting on other Ugreen NAS videos: "Why are we using 2.5inch Hard Disk Drives at all when M.2 Nvme is so much smaller & faster? I would love to hear your response." I also commented: Why are we paying $400+ for only 1 USB C & outdated USB A Now seeing this new NAS I really like it. Mabye there will be a better all SSD NAS in the near future?

Hi, kann man am TV Videos und Fotos aus einem Ordner gemeinsam als Slideshow abspielen ?

It's a nicely provisioned NAS considering the CPU & memory that it comes with; but limited to 4 NVME drives, and 16 TB max, well, it's a hefty price for such a limited system.

price point is way too high. this is before adding any ssds or upgrading the ram. it is also above the asustor flashstor for what hardware you are getting. can you even install truenas or unraid on this?

$999 price point is a hard pass for this basic device.

Terramaster SSD Plus with 8 NVMe slots is 799,- hard pass ...and they still sell only in selected countries... kinda stupid tho.

Hello all, very new to all this and looking for advice. would like to get the new mac mini m4. watched a video that showed an external ssd being used at the myfolder drive so the system would place everything but the main os features on that external drive. could part of this nas be used as the system folder drive and the rest as raid? Thank you for any info

I have no use for HDD even in a NAS, because of their far slower transfer speeds. Question is should I buy a NAS that has both 2.5inch SATA SSD bays & NVMe slots, or keep searching/waiting for an all NVMe NAS that isn't super wrongfully priced. I have no clue. I only have about 1Tb of data so I can buy very fairly priced 1Tb/2Tb NVMe SSD's. What should I do?

Asutor NAS possibly better, but all of them just are not quite ready for prime time in my opinion.

Borderline scam pricing. Make it make sense. Show me the cost of manufacturing and their brand tax, then well talk.
