There is need for an Igbo school of History, art and culture for Igbos. It should be funded by Ohaneze ndi Igbo. It’s very important we have this school for our identity preservation and to serve as guidance to Igbos home and in the diaspora including the descendants of the children of the transatlantic human trafficking(a.k.a slavery) Era survivors in the Caribbean and other parts of Africa.

There’s something we use to do in my village in the past called “Iwu Ngwu” the Umunna will announce nobody should cut palm seed (Ngwu) until a particular time When that time reaches it is announced everyone should go cut there palm front, during this time you will get to see and probably know everyone from your village cuz everyone will come back for it Used to be like a mini Xmas

The Igbo psychology of success is not genetic. It’s cultural and environmental and therefore may be learned by others who pay attention. I have a lot of non-Igbo friends who grew up in Igboland and imbibed the Igbo worldview and way of life. They are doing well, just like the Igbo. For instance, Solomon served an Igbo man and learned well from his master. Today he’s Igbo in all respects except his bloodline. He’s a millionaire in $dollars.
@Chioma-d4mКүн бұрын
It's genetic, you can't stop it. That's what God gave to Igbos.
@kaneo3243Күн бұрын
@ Do not be carried away by tribal egoistic sentiments. I am Igbo and I have made an in-depth study on this subject. The Igbo environment encourages positive and fierce competition. Personal achievements are priced and honored. That’s the story of Okonkwo in Things Fall Apart. That’s Achebe’s message to the world about his cultural paradigm. It’s evolved over the years to be accepted as a given. But it’s learned.

In the so called Nigeria it is we IGBO BIAFRA TRIBE PEOPLE more united than others that is why all these evil igbo politicians have not sold us and our land to Nigeria, if not that Nigeria government use their evil constitution to block igbo biafra land not to developed or built international seaport and railway if not you would have seen the united IGBO BIAFRA TRIBE PEOPLE developed or built in igbo land by their own self

First and foremost, one has to understand the meaning of the simple word unity before arguing The igbo tribe is the most united tribe in Nigeria, if not in sub-saharan Africa, political unity is not unity in the real sense, we should not measure or compare political unity as the yardstick to measure The civil war left a mendicant political class that's subservient to other cultural or political groups, that's not to infer that we're not united bc of the handful of political class

Sir I'm Black American and the Igbo are the most unified tribe globally. In the US almost every state has an Igbo outreach organization and annual celebrations that make the news every year. I'm waiting for my DNA results hoping they say Igbo.
