this isnt just from "JP and CN" patch notes, its actually also clear in EN patch notes that Youhu will appear in the "Prevail the Lasting Night" Convene, which is Jiyan's also, im upset, i wanted Youhu too but no f'ign way im pulling on Jiyan

@@roseblackkillerxx1972 I agree that it's partly our fault for thinking Youhu is going to be in SK's banner, since this is the first time we're getting a 4 star, but Eureka is right too; Kuro could've told us in the 1.3 trailer or in the livestream that there's gonna be a rerun and Youhu will be featured in there. Aside from being the first 4 star, she also has the new QTE mechanic. I mean, lots of people would want to try the newest features ASAP, no? Which is why they wanted Youhu to be in SK's banner. If she's not featured, then she has to share her banner rates with 9 other 4-star resonators, 3 which are featured, and other 20 4-star weapon. It's a really small chance to get her off-rate. So I'd say let's take the middle ground. Kuro did an oopsie, especially on the EN side because skipping two paragraphs of information is more than a typo, and we, the players, assumed stuff. Kuro fixed their mistake on EN, and now we understand that this is a business move; like it or not, they gotta make money.

I just can’t take the middle ground for this because it rly isn’t kuro’s fault people are mad. We just happened to make the wrong assumption. Kuro never once guaranteed that youhu will be on shorekeeper’s banner. Sure they advertised youhu in their ads but it was never officially stated “youhu in shorekeeper’s banner confirmed”. I am still gonna side kuro, and I refuse to take the middle ground because I genuinely don’t see what they did wrong here. Besides, all that complaining and people completely forgotten kuro’s generosity and kindness towards us players. I think it’s fair that all of us zip up and accept it with no complains… unless we rather youhu on shorekeeper’s banner but we remove kuro’s generosity

Yeah, again my issue wouldn't really be here if they told us during their livestream. Like they could have given Shorekeeper and Jiyan + Youhu banner preview before they did the shorekeeper weapon and 4 star weapon preview. It would have taken 5 seconds. People would still be upset about it, but at least they told us during their most official thing you know?

I think it makes sense and im personally glad Youhhu is not on Shorekeeper banner, I believe that each 5-star banner needs to have 1 4-star that needs almost same echo set and same stats and almost same farming materials as featured 5 star, in case someone pre-farmed and is not able to obtain featured 5 star, they still have a high chance to obtain the featured 4 star that requres basically the same exact materials, In Shorekeepers case, Baizhi is the 4 star that requires same materials, so if Baizhi is on the banner, it will be less annoying to not obtain Shorekeeper, you will just build Baizhi instead, while for Youhhu, if you dont obtain Shorekeeper and you havent farmed for Youhhu, well.... you kinda have to throw away all the stuff you farmed for Shorekeeper and start from 0 to build Youhhu, 2 4 star supports on 5 star support banner is also dumb, so this makes sense

I see what you mean, that's kinda where I'm at. I have a glacio set and Yao's gauntlets for her basically, so depending on IF I get her... The farm may have been kinda for nothing. I feel like they put 4 star synergy with the 5 star first though, so you can get a serviceable team ready if you get them.

The only thing I'm upset about is kuro putting jiyan and shorekeeper in the same patch. Now i have a dilemma of whether to pull for jiyan or shorekeeper, i love shorekeepers design and kit,but i also love jiyans lore and want to pull him😭😭😭

@@Vinsenneth The last Convene I touched was Jinhsi’s. 😂 I got my Sequence of Jianxin and decided to save my guarantee for the next husbando. I spent 75 pulls on Yao’s weapon, so I have less stock (haha). I believe Geshu Lin would drop after Camellya too. We shall see! I’m very interested to see more stories from the ex-general… I can imagine Jiyan thought he was still hallucinating but he actually met the real Geshu Lin. 😵‍💫

Yeah I hope I do! I mean I skipped Jiyan because I wanted to see what was on the horizon, so idm if I get him or not. I just don't have any Aero sets for him. But I still don't have Aalto, and it all depends on when these 4 stars get reruns. Youhu was highly anticipated for me because of her new mechanic, and even more so after seeing she was a gauntlet character.

I think this situation is a little overexaggerated. 1.2 was a good patch with some time to farm premium currency and limited 5-star character for FREE. 1.3 is coming with intriguing story, already beloved characters, new mechanics and QOL changes. Kuro just moved new 4-star character into rerun banner to raise Jiyan's sales a little. Nothing criminal, greedy or misleading (they just told about it a bit late), developers need money to keep improving the game, and gacha is a very controversial monetization system. So why did those people immediately focused on negativity when there's still so much awesome things devs made and still making?

I just saw an update yesterday where that featured tweet I mentioned, has gone from 27k to 40k. I mean it is what it is, I don't doubt they'll give 4 stars for free too. Totally agree though there's so much good stuff coming anyhow, and it's an overall smallllll thing. They also just gave us a stupidly strong and easy to play character for 1.2. I think we'll be okay lol. For me I'm only peeved because the absent announcement from the livestream... and I also wanted her because of their new mechanic. I can wait though!

Idk why people are so mad about this. Kuro probably didn't release this news early on because they were afraid this would happen. Even if kuro works on player feedbacks , they still need to make some profit and we konw since Camellya is said to be coming in 1.4 , most players would most likely skip Jiyan.And, since Youhu is a 4 star she will return in another banner soon enough.

I'm super curious on what they're gonna do with Camellya and Lumi. Like I can imagine an on off kind of thing. So, off banner 4 star for Youhu, then on banner 4 star with Lumi and Camellya. I think that'd 'balance" things out for people who are super pressed. For me I worry about the future when there's a shit ton of 4 stars, and if they *continue* to put some 4 stars to other banners that are not really 'desirable' making it really difficult to even get a copy of them. Like I still don't have an Aalto after this time, and I tried pulling a handful of times when he came up.

As someone who really wanted Jiyan I’m pretty glad about this actually. I missed his first run because I wasn’t playing WuWa as much at the time, so I didn’t get him. Also, by technicality, this isn’t the company’s fault. It’s your’s and everyone else’s for assuming way before they could do anything. That's kinda where I'm at too, since I skipped both Jiyan, Yinlin, and Jinhsi then got Changli and her weapon. So it's not that bad for me since if I get him.... I got some man tiddy with me LETS GO. But also totally right that I assumed too early, however in my defense Kuro was signaling that these 2 would potentially be together. From dripping both of them at the same time, then showing Camellya and lumi afterwards why would I not logically think it'd follow the trend of: Youhu + Shorekeeper then Camellya + Lumi. That's literally what they have been doing. Jiyan then Yinlin. Zhezhi then Xiangli Yao. Jinhsi then Changli. Not only that they had them together for their resonator debuts in the 1.3 trailer, and later stated that Youhu would be the one to guide us with Yangyang. No mention of Jiyan rerunning in that same livestream too. So... Yeah. But you're not wrong that I assumed too early, but still wouldn't have hurt to outline Jiyan's rerun with Youhu during the livestream as just a courtesy for the player.

For me I wanted to also make stuff about her too, but that's a different position than people in CN. I'm well over it now and built up Sanhua.
