Unfortunately, I do not have the Measurements of the Curt reciever to the Ground. I can only tell you its very low and we added this Hitch as an option on this vehicle for that reason. It is the Highest Clearance Reciever We have. 12.5" from the Ground is better than some sedans! This is the WAY!

I just had my hitch installed. Everything looks great, but my kick sensor isnt working. I can kick and get a response from the sensor with 2 or 3 beeps, but the door will not open. I dont get any response when I try to close the hatch. Anyone had similar issues. the way this video shows, the sensor is moved but should work.

It sounds like the door isnt aware of its current position and doesnt know which way to move, but is sensing the movement. Try disconnecting the negative terminal of the battery with the cargo door closed. After a few moments plug it back in and it should begin to work. This can happen when the Battery is re-connected with the Liftgate open instead of closed.

Unfortunately, this hitch has not been rated for weight distribution. Call your local U-Haul Hitch center to order one that is! CMF13470
