In my country we get water bill included with rent payment, and every 6 months it gets corrected based upon the actual usage

In indonesia, For someone that use public water service, its per month, but there is lot of us that have our own water well, so no need to pay waterbill, just electric bill to power water pump lol.

Most people who have a water well or water pump here have the old school ones, so it's completely free to get water, but you have to do manual labor (either that or you'd just take a bath/wash clothes and plates in the local river). Everyone else is mainly either connected to the public water service or the water service of the specific area they live in (e.g. if they live in a subdivision with a separate water tank).

Its surprise me too, i mean japan has high-pay driver license compre to my country, i mean, big money for drive school, and if you fail, you must take it from beginning including payment. Lol. In my country? Its basically free, but you can bribe police for instant license lololol
