To be fair, 0:48 sometimes 20mph is too fast let alone 25mph. Just because the limit is 30 doesn't mean anything. If you are going too fast to be able to stop according to what you can see ahead and what might happen, then it's too fast. 2:36 I don't think you can make assumptions like that, it wasn't an old banger, and they were indicating, just somebody in the wrong lane, simple as that. 4:49 it was a blind bend, if somebody had tripped over and were laying in the road you would have run them over because you were going too fast to stop for the visibility available. The car was already pulling out before you were visible to them. Whining about 20mph is meaningless, you were going too fast for the situation. The other clips were good and not the cammer's fault (for a change), thanks Ruby.

Thing is, 0:48 isn't a 30. There are at least two 20 repeater signs in the clip (#2), right at the start at 0:36 and towards the end at 0:50 Meaning the cammer wasn't just too fast for the visibility, they were also speeding.

7:16 #15 So why didn't the cammer move to the lane to their right? Yes, earlier on there was a white car coming up rapidly behind them but surely they could have tabbed the brakes a touch or lifted off the throttle and seeing the white car moving up quickly behind them been ready for it to pass and make the lane change to the right. Yes the white van could have waited and was in the wrong but reading the road situation and watching the mirror on a busy merge would have helped.
@bensmith19392 жыл бұрын
Technically you don't have to move over or slow down for cars merging. It's down to the cars merging to merge onto the motorway whether that means slowing down or speeding up to match the speed of traffic. So many times when I'm driving my hgv and cars trying to merge realise at the last second there's a truck next to them because I can't move over a lane for whatever reason. Slip roads are plenty long enough in most cases

7:08 No.15. Sorry but this attitude for cammers to be okay going to into a hazardous situation and exacerbating it purely cause they "shouldn't have to move" is so backwards. Yes the cammer shouldn't have to make an emergency maneouvre but that doesn't change the fact they need to do so, the van has already committed to being an asshole, that's done now it's the cammer who needs to decide do I wanna risk my car and potentially the lives of me and others around because I shouldn't have to move or do I wanna just move over to the right lane which is painfully free, beep the van, call the driver a wanker, maybe flip the bird and everyone goes on with their day. I know which I'm picking.

#15 Clearly the fault of the white van as stated but why didn't the cammer move over to avoid an escalating situation or at least slow down. So many of these clips show typical bad driving that people seem not to be able to anticipate or deal with.

Was the cyclist indicating he wanted to right? I suggest that at the speed he was going he wasn't. On mini-roundabouts, the car should have given to anyone turning right, but if the cyclist wasn't indicating, obviously with hand signals, then the car may have assumed he was going straight on, not that I'm saying the car was in the right as he was going too fast to react.

Unfortunately the only law related to roundabouts is to not go over the centre of a mini-roundabout… Both road users in the wrong here but only one stupid enough to not realise they’re completely exposed…
@ereejim2 жыл бұрын
Why should they have stoped for the pedestrian?
@roaduser64382 жыл бұрын
@@ereejim Because the highway code says so. "Rule H2 - Rule for drivers, motorcyclists, horse drawn vehicles, horse riders and cyclists At a junction you should give way to pedestrians crossing or waiting to cross a road into which or from which you are turning." At a roundabout you're exiting a road onto the roundabout and then heading onto one of the roads exiting the roundabout.

oh please, even cars drive across those mini roundabouts. Anyone could see the cyclist was turning right, if he was there a second sooner, that biker would of been sent flying by a aggressive driver.
@tande37812 жыл бұрын
@@AzguardMike Absolutely, and cars shouldn’t cut across mini roundabouts either. No one ever cuts across a large roundabout as there are curb stones/ solid structures in place so it is physically impossible. When it comes to mini roundabouts they are of course simply painted areas on the tarmac, and all that’s required for them to function correctly is competent driving. Because there’s not a physical barrier there to stop the average driver, they either have a total lack of respect for their own and other’s safety, or have utter blind ignorance as to how a roundabout works. Either reason is atrocious, and it’s sad that we need physical barriers to 100% guarantee we drive in the right direction, like herding brain dead livestock like pigs or cows.

Appalling from the car driver - total lack of awareness - there was a pedestrian about to cross, a cyclist to her right and she was going way too fast. Cyclist was luck to survive that. By the way the comments on the clip are erroneous. You don't give way to traffic already on the road - you give priority to traffic approaching from your right - a small but important difference (HC Rule 185)
