Thanks for this video, Tochi. So, if the COS of the main applicant was already 5 years, and you had to extend as a dependant on that COS, does it mean you have to request for an extended COS even though the main applicant is now qualified for ILR? I ask because the COS code (not the COS itself) is usually valid for about 3 months before you're required to use it to apply for visa.

Well, we didn’t have to ask for any COS extension because ours was still valid at the time of application

You use the Main Applicant's UAN(from the last visa application, not ILR application )not COS number to apply for extension.

I think for me the question has been around the expiry of the COS. My COS expires December 2024 and I already got ILR but my dependant needs to extend his so do I use the December expiry ? I did that and IHS came as £550 which I think is too low.

I Dont understand if you used the cos you used in 2022 to extend your visa in 2024 and it was for 2 years Visa, by 2024 the cos expiry date (use by) will have been exceeded, only if you meant the end date for the work date,, please can you expanciate
