This a valuable video- salary is only a chunk of our general wellbeing, pursuit of happiness and self actualization. Social factors, civic society and both positive and negative freedom are all significant parameters whereby we judge how good one's life or existence is. The NHS has myriad flaws, but it does ensure a base level of care for everyone regardless of colour, creed or class.

@@lokeshdevalla2060 Hi Lokesh. We follow a tax paying system called PAYE(pay as you earn). The Tax slabs remain same for all the professionals. However, your tax code changes with marital status(marriage allowance) and so on which has a very negligible change in your earnings. For example if you are on 1250L tax code, you pay nil tax Upto £12500 so that is your personal allowance. I have found an article for you which would give clear insight about taxes in UK. Hi, doc, 1) for St1and St2 training PLAB exam is enough or we should take MRCP in additional? 2) for internal medicine now it is 3 years in the UK.IMT-1/IMT-2/IMT-3. After the training is it compulsory to do St4 - St7 training? In India, after completing the house job the pg training for any branch is 3 years. After that, u can become a consultant. It depends on their own choice to do speciality training after completing their post-graduation training.
@lavnya705 жыл бұрын
Hi, what specialty do you want to do? 1. PLAB should be enough. You can take the MRCP during internal medicine training (IMT) (3 years). 2. Yes, IMT is 3 years. Most doctors go on to do higher specialty training eg cardiology, resp, derm, neuro, gastro etc (4 years). You will only achive CCT and become a consultant, after completing IMT 1-3 and ST4-ST7. The specialty training here in UK is a lot different compared to other countries.

Hi. I’ve read that if someone takes break after their last year of mbbs like say around 3months before plab 1 so the person prepares for it. And if the person passes plab2 and doesn’t get a job so has to wait till he gets, so it means we are in break again as yet to get a job. These breaks are of a disadvantage to that person and the person needs to provide justification. Will it be difficult for that person to get a job then?😞 I’m talking about IMGs.

The UK has been short of doctors since the war. The NHS created more posts. UK doctors emigrated to the US, Australia, South Africa, etc. Indians and other foreigners came in to staff mainly the lower ranks of the NHS in medicine and nursing. Despite the creation of new medical schools, the supply of doctors has never kept up with demand. The UK manages with fewer doctors per thousand people than any other country in Western Europe.

So yes you are correct in that the average pay for doctors is 5-6 lakhs per month but some doctors probably earn a bit more - especially if they’re also in private practice. To enter specialty training, you need NHS experience, so you might need to do a non-training trust grade post first to gain NHS experience before applying for specialty training. The salary will be based on your CV/clinical experience.

While I'm doing the process of GMR . And the other question is , could I work and speciality at the same time?

Specialty training in UK is free. You work for the hospital while you train. You will also receive a monthly salary. It is best for IMGs to apply for a non-training job here first for 6-12 months. This will give you NHS experience. After that, you can apply for specialty training in your desired specialty.

@@FAli1900 Local people will keep asking you when you are going to leave. Legally, Brexit was about the UK leaving the EU. Politically, it was about throwing the foreigners out.
