⚡ 💀 💕 / 👍 One of the best metal rave hip-hop party songs ever written. : ) Possibly the most controversial BABYMETAL song. Some folks love the rap and wish that whole bit was retained. Others found that bit kind of cringey and were happy it was later replaced with an audience call and response. You seemed to take it in the playful spirit that was intended. And then that drop. : ) They brought this song back when they toured with The Red Hot Chili Peppers in Spring 2017, but haven't played it since then.

My very first exposures back in 2015/2016 to BABYMETAL were to short clips of "Doki Doki Morning" official video and "Iine!" official video, then the first complete performance I watched was "Gimme Chocolate" on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert...so yeah, my first impressions of them were pretty extreme for my brain to handle. LOL!

Haha - BABYMETAL reactions are always better if there have been no spoilers given beforehand. So no, nobody is ever ready for this. As for pigeonholing BABYMETAL into any single genre, its not going to happen and its one of the things that makes them so special and unique. Anyway "Yo Yo Yo Yo. Microphone check. One two one two. Are you ready to mosh? Kitsune da o!" so its not like they didn't warn you about the best drop into metal after a rap ever. There is an early live performance where at the end of the rap and just before that drop Yui and Moa say something like "Hang on, this isn't metal is it?"

they did this song at Wembley 2016 and it is so good live. they do a different kind of break down than in the video but to see all these british metalheads banging to this song is wild. do the regular Akatsuki first from Budakon. the unfinished version is a copy from the original so the lips dont sync that good but you can still hear the emotion in Su's voice.

The pause you make with Moa holding the guitar is awesome, you know she plays? You can see this in BM with Rob Halford when they share two Judaist Priest songs. In the last of them Moa shreds, but the camera doesn't catch much of it because it was studio camera-people. Moa plays again in the Trilogy of light. I won't say which one, simply beautiful.

As always, nice reaction. It's always good to know when reactors really, truly have become fans and you have proven that in spades. I keep forgetting to mention, you can backtrack the video easier when you pause by hitting the back arrow on your keyboard. Whatever you are set for is what it will go back, usually 5 or 10 seconds. It's easier than using the mouse. As for the song, it has definitely grown on me over the time I've listened to them. At first, it was really hard to watch because the rap part made me cringe a bit, but I've thankfully grown out of that and really have come to appreciate the song. It is so upbeat and makes you want to move, it feels like a Spring/Summer song to me. The title means "So Good" in Japanese, and by god it is!

@@britkpopreacts Even more consistently is to use jkl, j is 10 seconds back k is pause and l is 10 seconds forward. The difference between those and space/arrows is that they will always do that. If you recently clicked on the volume space will mute and arrows will reduce or increase volume respectively. Also, maybe if only for your reaction videos you could install an adblocker on your browser to prevent on screen and post-video ads. I havent seen an ad on youtube since 2010 or so. Although I do like your segways into commenting on the ads ;)

About your Akatsuki question, the best live version is arguably the Wembley Arena 2016 performance but it probably will get blocked on KZbin (other reactors blurred the embedded video to avoid copystrikes, it worked pretty well recently).
