So beautiful! You don't need rare tarantulas from hidden places to find Beauty. Many species of our countries are so interesting and amazing even for their behaviour

In 1990 as a 7 year old I saw 2 of these moving with the tide down the Thames. I can't find any data on them being present in the southeast London or Essex area. I know what I saw as a kid I searched all the bug books I could find to look for them. Huge rusty brown spiders with white stripes can only be a Dolomedes of some sort.

Peacock butterfly caterpillar s look very similar to the mourning butterfly caterpillars. Only difference is mourning caterpillars I knie of eat elm leaves and have a rust colored square where their spines poke out from on their bodies.

I'm not scared of spiders, but the thought of 70mm leg span spiders in the UK makes my skin crawl more than just a bit! My misses has arachnophobia, she might just keel over if she saw a large on of these....

I made a video of a huge spider in my house a couple of weeks ago which has a bigger leg span than my hand but don't know what kind it is. I used to think they are wolf spiders but someone said it isn't so can you take a look please and leave a comment with any ideas 💚💛❤️
