The little girl, who is around 10 years old, represents ARMY because this was released around their 10th anniversary and right before Jin left for the mandatory military enlistment. This song was his gift to ARMY and it always makes me teary.

yes you got the video meaning. there's also a theory that the little girl represents bts and army who jin spent the past 10 years with and taking care of (since he's the oldest member) and was leaving for a while (for the military cause the song came out right before he enlisted). also, the song was produced by coldplay and you can hear some background vocals that chris martin added and you can also see him cameo at the beginning of the video on the tv as the newscaster

Jin is currently in the South Korean military he is the assistant drill instructor in his division and he will come out in around 45 days thus explaining why he has no recent release. This song is his farewell son to ARMY (BTS fandom), He performed this live with Coldplay (the producer and co-writer of the song) in Argentina 2 weeks before he went into active service. The kid in the MV is around 10 which is the age of the ARMY fandom then. so, representing the ARMY, he gave her a helmet as a sort of protection as he was leaving but then he returned to her. There are some other hidden objects/ representations in the song and the fandom can point them out as references to members of the Army and Coldplay. Inside his room, some things represent each member and the guitar that Cris Martin gave him. It would be good if you could watch the live performance.

This is Jin’s good bye to ARMY . He enlisted 6 weeks later for compulsory military service . The girl is army ( just as the boy in jhopes is, in on the street) there are many many Easter eggs in the MV … You “got it” in the end … there are very few “romantic” love songs in BTS’ discography… almost always the words you and her refer to army… also the word constellation btw… This the second collab with Coldplay… the first is my universe. He flew 40 hours each way to do a live performance with them in Buenos Aires… the only live before he left… Chris martins intro of jin is a great watch too… 💜🇨🇦
