The name of the woman singer is not Loana, but Ioana, like in Joanna, pronounced E-oa-na. Subcarpati are the foothills of the Carpati, ie Carpathian mountains. "Mândra mea" is translated literally as " my proud one" but is in fact an equivalent of " my bonnie lass"

The song it's also about how technology make us being superficial and not living the best life, simple and true love as country ppl doing. Everything is moving too fast in this world and not seeing the best thing in life. Every time I hear this song makes me fall in love more. Alex Alex acum 1 an Translated lyrics with my personal interpretation: Mândro când te-oi mărita , mândrulița* mea . x2 (Girl when you will marry, my sweet girl*) Cheamă-mă la nunta ta , mândra* mea . x2 (Invite me to your wedding, my girl*) *„Mândră” - means proud (feminine) but it’s used for it’s archaic meaning which was used for young, usually not married yet girls. In this scenario, it was used for the girl he loves. *„Mândruliță” - this is the diminutive for „Mândră”, using this word shows the sympathy/love for her Cheamă-mă de chemător** , mândrulița mea . x2 (Invite me as a caller**, my sweet girl) Că de mire nu-s dător , mândra mea . x2 (Because I’m not worthy for being a groom, my girl) **„Chemător” - means caller**. It’s also used for it’s archaic meaning which was a person chosen by the bride/groom that had the task to invite other people to the wedding. There can be more than one caller for a wedding, depending on who the bride/groom choose for this task. Că de mire ți-am vrut sta , mândrulița mea . x2 (I wanted to be your groom, my sweet girl) Dar nu te-ai știut purta , mândra mea . x2 (But you did not know how to behave, my girl) Că de mire ți-am vrut fi , mândrulița mea . (How to make yourself loved, my sweet boy) Pe tine te-aș fi ales , badea al meu . (I would’ve chosen you, my boy) Dar tu nu m-ai înțeles , badea al meu . (But you did not understand me, my boy) * „Badea” - same as „Mândră”, only this is the masculine version. The girl talks to her lover, calling him this way „Bădițel” - the diminutive version, showing sympathy/love for him. Interesting to see, she calls him this way the first two lines she sings, the last two lines using the less affective version of the word, „badea” , showing that her feelings, not reaching the form of loving, are fading away. Another interesting touch is that the guy sang all the lyrics twice, with the last two lines which were the essential part singed six times while the girl only sang each line once. This also shows the difference in interest/feelings intensity between them.

Bro... i'm late to the party, but do they not teach you spelling in UK? what's with the Miniscule? Romanian is 70% Latin, just take it by syllables Mil-Cu-Les-Cu. That should help you pronunciate most names, no matter the complexity.
