UK riots: King 'greatly encouraged by many examples of community spirit'

The King has said he has been "greatly encouraged by the many examples of community spirit that had countered the aggression and criminality from a few" - as he reflected on the recent violent disorder seen across the country.
This evening the monarch held a phone audience with the prime minister and leading police chiefs.
