I went to Skomer in the 1970's and it was run by RSPB, birding, hippie snobs who were irritated by our presence. The boat over was not much bigger than a rowing boat and the embarking/landing was treacherous off the rocks. You had to book by phone a day ahead. no guard rails on the paths and were you escorted by a guide who wished you were not there. I am glad to see things have changed. Lovely video.

I love watching the UK vlogs. In this one, Emma sees the owl in the distance her face full of joy and wonder. You'd think Alex's instinct would be to pan on what she's looking at, but he stays there focuses on her, soaking her in. You just know that his joy is in seeing her joy. That's what love looks like, guys.

This gives me chills....Wales gets an unfair rap to be honest. Main reason is the majority of people only go as far as Cardiff and Wrexham. Wales is so Beautiful....especially Snowdon, West Wales, and North West Wales. Wales even has one of the bed beaches on the planet. Wales in just a mini version of New Zealand and the Mediterranean rolled into one. Cornwall is also stunning.
@TravelBeans5 жыл бұрын
Agreed! Wales is an incredible country! One of my first trips there was to the Brecon Beacons and, although the weather was awful, I was completely blown away! But I had no idea until this trip that the beaches are so stunning too. Really want to visit Snowdon and North Wales. It's nice to have something to looks forward to for our next trip 😊 Plus I have a serious addiction to Welsh cakes! So we'll be back soon enough! 😂

Went there 3-4 years ago but luckily had a bright, sunny day. It was a magical day, puffins literally wondering our feet. The steps up from the boat are a killer though, you need to be reasonably fit to do go there.

I just discovered your vlog and while trying to find "the beginning" so I could binge watch in order, I saw this place in Wales that I have never heard of. Although I am an American (with a Welsh name and Welsh ancestry) I was raised hearing all about Wales, the music, the poetry, the culture.... but not a single person told me about this island!! I even lived a short time in Wales and never knew that place existed. Now I have yet another reason to visit!!

You guys are so amazing! 😍, as your in wales why don’t you come down to Anglesey (My Home!) We have so much to offer visitors and we have so much costal paths, historic buildings and castles! plus so much more including South Stack lighthouse, and the amazing Puffin Island where a seal normally follows the boat and you can feed it yourself! Beaumaris Castle is one and the other is Caernarfon Castle thats not that far from Anglesey as its in Gwynedd (Caernarfon) home of the “covi’s” they do say Conts all the time but thats not them swearing by the way its how they speak! if you don’t believe me go and have a look for you selfs! :) if you do decide you come over, Have fun & Beans Out! :D
