You asked what you should do this year... I think you should do whatever makes you HAPPY!! I have loved watching your channel and family grow over the years, and I believe you're not only a travel channel, you're a Beans channel! The group travel trips sounds like a perfect combination of KZbin, travel, making new connections and potentially friendships and also income. There might be other times you're wanting a private family trip without even the camera coming along. I think do whatever feels right to you, at the time. Love following along and feel so privileged that you share your lives with us on KZbin! 💖 PS I'm in Melbourne, Australia so if you do end up down here and would like travel advice, feel free to write! 🤗

The home school question - trust that Noah will let you know. Can't remember how old my son was when he said "Mummy please don't homeschool me". I nearly fell off my chair! So many friends kids seemed to be living the dream but our boy liked structure, rules and lessons. Turns out he is one of the most creative souls I know - dancer, model, movement director, waiter and a few other roles I won't pretend to understand. He has the most diverse group of friends you could possibly hope to meet.

I appreciate how open and honest you are about the challenges of parenthood. Especially challenges traveling with a young one. So many travel vloggers with kids gloss over this and make it look like it's a completely easy and positive experience. Travelling with kids is worth it, but not easy!

Head north from Texas on I-35 to Canada. You can park in my driveway for an overnight, if you like (Central Iowa) - I'm 14 hours from Waco. Continue north to the boundary waters of Minnesota/Alberta and kayak your heart out! Take the van to Banff, then the train to Vancouver (round trip) - the possibilities are endless!!

I am so sorry to hear about Alex’s eye. He seems to be coping well, but I hope it improved. Your wedding photos were gorgeous! Thank you for sharing. Loved listening to to you both laugh through the questions. I love your videos and am so glad you will continue making them for now. Y’all were very gracious answering so many deeply personal questions. Parenthood brings so much joy! Y’all will know when and if you want another child. We had ours 5 years apart which was perfect for us. Our oldest had hers 18 months apart which was perfect for them (but very, very busy for her❤). What to do about school will sort itself out in time. Blessings and hugs to you both!

In regards to your discussion about the balance between adventure and productivity, I consider living out your dream adventures to be a very productive lifestyle. We don’t always write down our dream adventures as goals, but have no doubts, that’s exactly what they are. And productivity is all about accomplishing our goals. It’s also important to realize that it’s “our goals” that we are supposed to be busy accomplishing, not societies or someone else’s. When you hear someone say something like not everyone agrees with you or does what you do, just smile, and know that you are on your own path doing your own thing, and nothing could be more beautiful than that. Adventure, I often say, is my middle name. As a young boy, I would leave my house in the Ohio countryside, in the morning, and not return until later in the day after exploring my neighborhood. My favorite thing to do was to get lost. When I learned how to drive, that was still my favorite thing to do. When I was old enough to walk the two hours to my best friend’s house in the city, his neighborhood became my second neighborhood. So it’s no surprise that at 18 years old, I left home and moved to New York City. That was my biggest dream, biggest adventure, biggest goal. The year was 1981, considered New York’s most dangerous year in history. Few people in my country neighborhood would have supported my decision to move to New York City, but would rather have talked me out of it. So I only told a few that I was leaving. I still remember that move very vividly. Unfortunately, that move only lasted for a couple hours, because when I accidentally took a wrong turn taking me back to Jersey, I decided that it was probably better to just keep going, and I drove all the way back home. In hindsight, I think that was very wise. I’ve lived in New York City four times since. It is still my favorite city. However, I’ve lived all over the United States throughout my life. Why? Because I don’t do well at all with boredom. And no matter how exciting a place is, usually a place eventually becomes routine and then turns boring. Even living on the beach eventually bores me. So what’s my point? Moving around as much as I did, I did not live my life with the kind of stability that other people subscribe to and live their lives with. Yet, my life was very stable because I always made those moves strategically and successfully, always finding work wherever I went, and living my life on my terms. I’ve had well over 100 different jobs and have lived in more than 100 different places. And no, I’m not going to start listing them all. I actually had to do that when I rejoined the Navy in 1999. What a mess! So, when it came to the end of my life 10 years ago, I had to deal with one of those questions a lot of people ask themselves at the end of their life, was I successful? Well, I pondered, “I didn’t become rich. I didn’t own a house. I didn’t have a lot of money in the bank...” I was definitely a failure in many people’s eyes. But you know what? Those things weren’t ever important to me. They were only important to other people. What was important to me? My happiness. And, I always made my decisions based on maintaining my happiness. I consistently, throughout my entire life, successfully protected my happiness. When I wasn’t happy, I figured out why, and I fixed it. No matter what it was, even if it meant walking off a job, which I did more than once. Shortly before I was to die (with stage four melanoma spreading all throughout my body), I had a psychic dream which provided me with a natural cure for my cancer. I guess the powers that be wanted me to enjoy some more adventures. Maybe they were enjoying the show? Five months later, I moved yet again, landed one of my highest paying jobs ever in San Diego, which provided me with the money I needed to move back to where I really wanted to live, yet again, New York City. There, I landed another dream job working for a filmmaker. Three years later, at 55 years old, I decided it was time to leave NYC and get ready to retire. Having served overseas in the Navy in my early 20s, I knew the perfect place for me to retire, where I would be happiest, the Philippines. I was semi retired here until I fully retired “early” earlier this year. I moved another six times over the 8 years I’ve been living here. Not surprisingly of course. However I do love where I live now and I’ve stayed put in the same area for two years. Life is good here, really good. Keep living your dreams and doing whatever makes you happy. ❤

When my kids were little, we had a touring caravan, and this was fab for space. Put a tow bar on the van and use the van as a day van for days out. You can always put it on a site for a season if you want to get an awning up to give up your uk home and still have a place when you return. My kids loved the caravan. Now they are older we have camper but more manageable as they get older. 😊

If you head to the US, check out Jackson Hole Wyoming + Yellowstone National Park + Teton Mountains. It’s gorgeous, lots of wildlife and something I think you would enjoy. I visited in April (their down season) it was snowy, but not freezing cold and the elk and moose were immigrating (even across the highways) and while some places were closed during down season - it meant it was quiet and we basically spent the whole time nature watching and doing small hikes and drives.

When Noah is at School you're gonna struggle to Travel for the length of time required for Canada!...unless you teach him yourselves, but I know I couldn't do that 😂 Whatever way you choose, let me wish you all the best of luck ❤🤞😘😘

I always find it interesting how much personal information people on KZbin share with the public. I guess that is part of the dues that you have to pay when you are a contact provider. I know in one case the individuals never specifically mention the town in Tuscany that they live near in order to prevent people from showing up uninvited. I think that’s something wise to do. You never know who might show up and create problems for you. Now that you have a child, it is also important to seal them from public group me or people who might not have the best interest of your child in mind. in regards to all the things you have to do to be a content provider those are parts of your job. In any job, there are many things you have to do to do it satisfactory. I wish you well in the future and hope that your time in Italy is a pleasure.
