But it is the first time it's been tried in Scotland and the UK. Switzerland, France, Germany, Holland, Spain, Norway, Luxembourg, Greece and Belgium seem to get along fine with it.

Poor nurses and doctors putting themselves at risk of violence and abuse. This is not the first time something like this has been tried and failed miserably. What will it take?! Someone being stabbed? Killed? Before they say it doesn’t work? This is just offering space for people to do illegal things. It’s not like they offer other spaces for other illegal activities is it?! This is just not helpful. Give them a warm, clean environment to stay and appropriate environment and products to get clean!

@@Scotlandskeyboardwarrior it would make more sense and be far safer to pay people and equip them fully and safely to clean the streets of the mess than it would to accommodate illegal activity and potentially harm to so many people in the workplace as well as the people using it. They’re just condoning the use of illegal practices. This is tax payers money as well. Surely opening places to get these people off of these awful drugs would be a far better way to spend tax payers money! I wouldn’t mind my taxes being used to help and support people to get clean and become a better person again and/or the person they once were! But offering places for people to do illegal stuff is not a good way to help the situation! Yes they have advice there for that, but you know as well as I do that nobody is going to go in there to get help getting clean when they can go in there for their next fix! 😞
