I never get bored of your vids bro... AND Jim in them giving me some kitchen skills is ALWAYS the icing on the Fishlocker cake 🙂 Love Jim's memories from the catering Corps chicken. Reminded me of my old man in the mines...His training to the youngsters to get their attention...HUGE lump of coal. Smashed it in one punch. New lump of coal on the desk....asked them to do it...Much pain later my dad had some respect. He did not tell them he had tapped that first lump he hit with a hammer for a few minutes to weaken its structure LOL
@alexisgrunden1556 Жыл бұрын
My dad pulled a similarly-minded prank on his science class in high school; they had a class party, and he was tasked with bringing in the punch. So about a week prior, he crushed up a couple of Alka-Seltzer tablets into a fine powder, mixed it into some dark brown sugar, molded it into the shape of a spoon, and let it dry out for a week. Come party day, he brought in a batch of very sour punch. Pulled out the wooden spoon, and stirred the punch bowl, only for the "wooden" spoon to begin hissing, spitting, foaming and _melting._ "..Might have made it a bit strong. Should still taste just fine, though~" 🤣🤣🤣

Good to know about the worms....when I was a Chef we ordered a ton of fish for Friday night feature, but as soon as I cooked one it was so gross with the worms coming out that I called our other restaurant and told them not to serve it....seems wasteful, but I always said I wouldn't serve something to someone that I would not eat myself. Thanks so much for the video! Your Chef friend is so sweet too, I love how he talks! He really knows what he's doing! The crispy skin is the best! We have a similar pan called The Rock, they are amazing! Great for eggs! I think he needs a Wok though for stir fry, maybe he will get one! I recently broke my pepper grinder too HAHA!

Most people who have eaten wild fish have eaten worms at some point. They pose you no harm if the fish is either frozen first or cooked fully. 👍🏻🎣

Another really great one from Jim, as you rightly say those of us who can't catch their own bass can use the smaller shop bought ones. Chinese style cooking is my forte, the stir fry would obviously be better in a wok and you should always use light soy sauce for cooking, the dark one is for use as a condiment at the table. Really looking forward to Jim's next cooking video, he explains everything so well for us to learn from.
