Amazing this was 37 years ago already. Thank you for this 👍 Not the strongest years musically is 1987, but there are some gems. Pointer Sisters had a bigger hit (and better version) with Bruce Springsteen's 'Fire'. What was with Stacy Lattislaw and jumping? Did she have a song 'Jump To Do The Dinner'? 😂 Not many stand out songs in this, but two classics from Ben E King and Percy Sledge. Timeless and great songs. My top favourites in this list. I also like Spandau Ballet's underrated ballad, Mandy Smith's underrated pop gem (shame she was never big here....aside from her personal life - now writes for a Christian magazine.), The Beatles, TRex, Jackie Wilson, Erasure, Beastie Boys, Level 42, Luther Vandross and Simply Red. Interestingly, the re-releases are amongst the best songs.

Interestingly the Lone Justice singer, Maria McKee later had a UK number 1 hit with 'Show Me Heaven' in 1990.

World Party's "Ship Of Fools" should have been a top 40 hit, Karl Wallinger is underrated as a songwriter and musician. Interesting to see "My Favourite Dress" by The Wedding Present but stunned that got to No.95, although it got to No.4 on the Indie Chart.

Not at all, Missionary Man played on the radio only yesterday + Manhatten Skyline only played on an episode of that hit series: Goldberg's when they got to New York thiink it is season 4 and played onUK-TV the other day-my cousin owns them all on DVD. Where in UK you from?

@@mikekaraoke Sorry mate, I was addressing Polish broadcasters. Here they know just "Sweet dreams" and "Take on me" and that covers the subject.....and if I'm not mistaken, I heard it in some ads, too :)

@@paleksander5192 Oh I see, no probs just go rather confused is all lol I have never been to Poland, but on programs/articles I have seen about it and stuff- they played: A-ha-The Sun Always Shines on TV. As for Eurythmics-there is a Polish KZbinr I saw in the shopping Centre: Magnolia Park and had music on and they were playing: Who's That Girl by them! What did you hea in some ads?? 😀
