So many songs in this video that I haven't heard in the best part of a quarter of a century. Thanks for this timely blast from the past, Francis. I'm taking notes and soon I'll be off searching for lots of forgotten classics. Plus a fair few that passed me by the first time around and that I really need to explore further, such as Hurricane by The Warm Jets.

Thank you Francis for a golden time for music, The 1990s. Interestingly one of the members of Gomez is running for the UK Parliament in the next election. Kristine Blond tried for Eurovision in 2006 for her native Denmark. What happened to Billie Myers? May Aaliyah RIP. Some gems in this. The Tamperer is used as the music for the players at my club Birmingham City when they come on the pitch. Well...too many to list to here as favourites! I love 'Push It' by Garbage. Underrated group and always been a favourite of mine. The brilliant 'Where Are You' by Imaani which would have been an excellent winner and finally the forgotten Tunisian talented singer Hinda Hicks 'You Think You Own Me'. A funky song and a hilarious video too 👍 I'd throw in The Tamperer for obvious reasons. Wonderful list and memories of a saner time. Oh for a time machine, but your channel is a perfect one.

Always great to rediscover some songs that i’d forgotten about like Natalie Imbruglia. MJ Cole and Bran van 3000 were later rereleased and became bigger hits

Back in the day in 1998, I was really into Embrace and their debut album was really good.

Great weeks in 1998 on the UK chart. Teardrop by Massive Attack, Push it by Garbage, Dreams by The Corrs, Sunny came Home by Shawn Colvin, Heaven's what I Feel by Gloria Estefan and the huge hit Ray of light by Madonna are my favourites

Wish we had a warning that Manchester United was on this. Load of old rubbish and thankfully I don't remember it! Being a City fan then while that lot were winning everything was painful. How the tables have turned and it's fantastic! Only remember a few songs on this, not many. Yet I had just turned thirteen
