I’m from the UK and you’ve just introduced me to another stationery company to check out, so thank you! 😊

Awesome! It would be so dangerous for me to go into the store.

I loved your excitement! Not sure whether I should thank you for introducing me to a shop I hadn’t heard of (I’m in the UK 🇬🇧) or be mad at you for making me want to buy more things that don’t need but really want. Usually I’m prohibited by international shipping. Another great video ❤

I think it will end up as love. Haha. So glad to introduce you to them. And I’m so jealous that you get to visit in person.

Mark the small lickable rossettes are for embossed envelope seals, people in Europe still write letters and apply embossed seals to the envelope but they have to have the adhesive applied first, then embossed then moistened and applied we used them a lot at the city for invintations to official functions

Mark the archive notebooks are used for small projects and for overviews to larger projects within the archivist culture. This was a cool haul, it excites me a historian to see things people discover that they don’t usually seeoutside our little niche community.

Oh I love that! Thanks for letting me know.

Can you share more about the Archivist culture you speak of? It sounds right up my alley. I was actually thinking about the notebook for a small project or tracker of some sort. I'm excited to learn more.

@@markyourpages sure I am sure you are aware that in short form an archivist is simply a custodian of historical records who ensures that they are properly handled, recorded, displayed if need be, and cared for when others seek to access them. There are many many different types of archivists there are those that care for and track leadership or governmental documentation, sound, video and of course paper and digital records the most famous of those these days is NARA thanks to particular former government employee The National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) are as their name suggests archivists of the aforementioned records. Then you will have your general archivists most of which work in and with libraries and Historical Collections that generally do not involve actions of the federalized system. Some are private collections some state and then there are a lot of even local archives, like where live we have the Knox County Archives and those that work specifically within that area care for and have a lot of knowledge about where in the archives one would find say deed records from 1840 or newspapers from 1880, even a vast array of older records are finding their way into internet collections there is still a very large collection of works that will never find their way into such collections like books about Emaline Burnett and the influence her family had in shaping Knoxville, Tennessee those can only be found in the Calvin McClung Historical Collection at the Knox County Archives. That allows me to segway to my particular niche of the archivist community I am a professional genealogist while it is not widely known by most of the public what a genealogist actually does beyond finding your long lost relatives, it is our jobs to research each of those individuals and put together the story of their lives, in addition we are responsible for making sure that if a family has family heirlooms that they are taught how to properly preserve those. In addition to those duties we index, transcribe and review antique documents: take for instance those census documents or passenger lists or marriage records you pull up on Ancestry or Family Search a genealogist has made sure you know what they say.

😮 I love seeing present and correct go from a tiny room in Angel to where they are now. (Although their new shop in london is near where I work so it’s dangerous on the bank account). Love the items you got! I am a sucker for all their paper clips!

Very cool! An idea for the "time/date" stamp eould be to stamp it in a lighter color so your pen shows up better... happy planning!

Yes! I’ve tried a few colors and the lighter gives off what I’m looking for.

So great to see you review items from a UK company! I was introduced to them earlier this year and had an opportunity to visit their lovely store in North London. I like the look of the stamps! The month overview looks so cool. Another idea for the circle stamp is using it as a clock face. Definitely the first thing I thought of. :)

I would so love to visit their shop on day. I would certainly go broke. Great idea for the circle stamp!

Do you actually use these things multiple times? The expense is divided by how many times that you use the product. Eg, if you pay $6 for something and only use it twice, then it cost you $3.
@markyourpages Жыл бұрын
Ah, i like the way you think. The notebooks are one time-ish use - but the stamps so much worth it.

@MenWhoBullet actually I cannot take credit because I learned that from The Frugal Crafter who is an expert card maker by the way. She is 1 of my favorite KZbinrs, so if I am not consuming your great content, I am probably on her channel. Which reminds me get more millage and make a card 😀. (If I never give up, maybe those supplies will be used quickly enough for a new haul 😀. Well other supplier and the journals maybe).
