Wow, you are the first guy I have ever seen to actually carry a folding backpack inside your bag. I recommended everyone to carry a foldable backpack inside their emergency/bug out bag for multiple reasons, nice to see someone actually being smart and carry one !

I saw your video about your survival tin recently and this reminded me about it - it's not just about what you carry it's also about how and where you pack it. Surprising what you can fit into relatively small tins and bags. Lots of great information in both videos. Thanks.

With all those dry-bags, one might get the impression that it might rain occasionally in the UK. 😉 Great kit you have there. If you take the top of of a bottle of Smart Water, you can use it to back flush the Sawyer Mini. But you will need a dedicated clean water bag. I like to carry a small dynamo radio with shortwave bands. Just to keep informed of things that might be happening while I’m in the bush. Also, I feel naked in the wilderness without a hatchet or tomahawk. I’m usually hiking with a dog, who carries his own pack, but I like to carry extra dog stuff too. Especially on long treks, it’s nice to have someone to bounce ideas off of. lol

Hi. Love your vids on your channels, as they are really helping me with ‘getting out there’. I’m ok with what to take, but a lot of my stuff is British Army kit from bootsales, and although absolutely bombproof bits of kit, it’s fairly heavy if being prepared for everything. Your experience in this has helped me ‘lighten up’ on what I can take which makes my whole experience more enjoyable, as I’m quite small and no packhorse. All the best👍🏾🇬🇧

Great load out, you can always see the British Army experience showing through as you could easily survive many more days than the usual 72hrs with that pack. I use the more roomy Rab Survival Zone Bivi instead of the SOL stuff as they come up small if anyone is 6ft+ and broader shoulders, likewise I use the Carinthia Tropen which has the bug net built in so just a little luxury for sleeping out in the summer (it will go to -7 that bag, but trust me you'd not want to test it as 0 degrees was cold enough for it), both not cheap items I know for those on a budget, but worth the investment. Good to hear someone mention a bag within a bag, so useful! Likewise a good quality rain jacket, as even in UK summertime you can die from hypothermia in some circumstances, loved the comments on the poncho freak walking through town. I use an Arktis smock (have a few less tactical colours for the car get home kit) so you can stuff the pockets with some kit and use a smaller pack or place more rations in the get home/bug out bag. The orange bandana comments made me chuckle, great to confirm you are not living on a prayer! I have looked at that bandana a few times within online shops, but still sticking with the ground to air panel in dayglo orange, although not sure who's coming to help us come the day? Anyhow thanks for posting a great video, always good to compare notes and at least I know there'll be one reliable chap out there somewhere with better musical and fashion taste than most.

Very well put together! I have some of the same stuff in my kit. I’ve also a good survival book by Mykle Hawke, a couple of thick (5 mil) contractor trash bags, and a deck of waterproof playing cards with survival tips on them. Oh, and because I live in the U.S, an few extra mags of 9mm ammunition for the pistols I can carry on my person and in the pack.

Really good kit that, thanks for showing it 👍 - Good higher end stuff you don’t see very often. I like the idea of having a small mobile phone ready to go,not seen that too often, and the day sack is a good idea. One thing I’d add is a cammo w.proof pack cover (multi purpose) and w.proof leggings. As an aside due to stupid knife laws I believe the LEATHERMAN Signal isn’t technically U.K. legal carry.

What about documents, some small valuables, and a laptop? I hardly ever see anyone think about those things in their videos. Camping and surviving is great, but this isn't a survival pack. It is an evacuation pack. If you are really leaving your home in a hurry, you want to bring those things with you.
