Thinking of similar now Covid19 on the way out but will probably give France a miss and go direct to North Spain by ferry. With the price of petrol and French tolls its probably not much more... I can spend more time driving in Spain and Morroco!

We also had a plan to go last week through France. But unfortunately due to the queues at Dover, we had to cancel. Let me know when you are planning on going, we might be able to convoy !

Salaam bro, do you know if I can get temporary car insurance in the UK (so lets say 5 day drive away insurance or something), drive with it to Tangier, get insurance there for Morocco, spend however long I wanted, then when I want to get back, I can just buy temporary car insurance (let's say 5 days again) and drive back to the UK? I am planning on buying a car for the summer time just for the sole purpose of Morocco and selling it when I get back.

Yes, it’s easy to get cover for 1 day, 7 days and 1 month. Just google it and have a look at which one suits you

Hi I have a question,,what if you intend to stay there for over 6 months,,can you still drive your car there without getting stopped by the police,,and since everything left hand drive there did you find it difficult
@AS19EED3 жыл бұрын
Driving on the opposite side requires some time to get used to but then isn’t that difficult. We stayed for a duration of 2 weeks, we tried to speak to some people there and it was hard to understand due to the language barrier, But from what i could understand the maximum period of time you can stay with your car is 3 months and then you have to leave for a minimum of 24hrs before entering again.
@AS19EED3 жыл бұрын
It’s best to research before going as i can’t really confirm on any rules or regulations.

As long that you're insured, you can stay up to six months in Morocco , after six months you'll get fined.

How much it cost you to travel in your car from the UK to morocco?
@AS19EED3 жыл бұрын
£600 diesel total there and back Toll chargers on top including ferry was around £500 It all depends on what car you take
@gowmitch0694 жыл бұрын
Seriously thinking about doing this, sorry I have a few questions, How many times did you get petrol? How many tolls and how much did they cost? What insurance do I need to get?
@AS19EED4 жыл бұрын
We fueled our car 6 times, there and back which costed £650. We took a 3L Audi. Tolls for the journey were £250 and we took 2 ferries which costed £350 both ways. The price was much higher as we booked the ferry on the spot at the port. The prices are much cheaper if booked in advance Our UK car insurance company covered Europe. So we only purchased insurance in morroco and this on average was £9 for the audi per day. The prices fluctuate depending on which vehicle you take. *Insurance for Morocco When you leave the ferry, there will a portakabin that will try to sell you insurance, DONT GO THERE They are simply a middle man and will waste your time and make excuses and try to send you to another branch which is 4 hours away. They will say you cant leave and that the police will intervene but I spoke to some locals that can speak English and it's all lies. So simply drive out the port and drive to Allianz which is around 5 minutes away Its cheaper and more professional and saves a lot of time.

Vehicle's Logbook that has the drivers name on it. @@AS19EED i know like that there are limits that you can go over them the blue panel, but is there a limit?
@AS19EED3 жыл бұрын
@@sigmamemes4189 Once we arrived back into the UK, we received many fines from Spain and France. We paid them because we will be taking the car back for another road trip and don’t want any problems. The speed limit is 120KMH in France and Spain . In Morocco it is very strict, police are standing with speed guns and if you’re caught speeding. It’s a 300 Dirham fine on the spot
@vincentpeeters115717 күн бұрын
Why are there video's when you are driving 205 kph? It's all very "cool", you are a tough man, but it doesn't seem very smart, you would not be the fist one getting fined afterwards
@Riffi875Күн бұрын
Why do you care if he can afford to pay the fine maybe he doesn’t care.
