Stunning! Where do you store your dry bulbs in winter? What are your winter low temps? How do you decide how to cover plants in winter - you talk about using fleece and straw; when do you use which? Thanks you for sharing your paradise!

I know I have said it before but you honestly have one of the most beautiful gardens I have ever seen. Getting to see it in person was a real privilege and your creativity is second to none. You have really given the garden such great character and allure. Your little slice of the tropics is and has been so inspirational as far as what is possible. Watching this makes me feel like I need to see it again 😆. I'm sure next year is going to be another step up as far as what you will have in store for us with your amazing garden and can't wait to see it as your creativity has no boundaries.

Can you please post a video specifically on how you made that rope/fish net patio divider. Where to get that wood post and how you attach each post to drilling the holes for the rope. I’m super inspired by your yard! I watch it almost everyday over and over. Now I’m so hooked I want to do my yard too! Please please!
@TropicalPlantAddict4 жыл бұрын
Victorious Vic Thanks so much for watching and really glad you enjoyed the videos! On one of my videos I linked the wooden posts below in the description box… It was one of my garden tours a few months ago. They are pre-drilled posts so all I did was drill holes in the wooden edging and screwed them in. I also used some glue to really secure them in place… They are purely decorative. If you take a look through my garden tours playlist, the video should be in there, I can’t remember offhand which one it was. The netting is just decorative fish netting I got off amazon and draped it over 🌿
@victoriousvic234 жыл бұрын
Tropical Plant Addict I thought I have seen it but I kept watching many of them over and over and can’t seem to find it. I know it’s just a decorative divider but I think it’s still adds a lot to the whole tropical theme. I’m waiting on your next video about the winter plant prep. Thanks for all the wonderful videos you share with us! ❤️

Great vid thanks, good to see some standard uk stuff in there like hydrangea and camellia working alongside the tropical stuff. Wondered if you've found your climbing hydrangea slow to grow? I've got a huge fence I'm trying to cover but mine seem to be painfully slow to grow 😔 starting to wonder if I should try something else.
@TropicalPlantAddict4 жыл бұрын
Beth Hull Thank you! Well I thought that the hydrangea was meant to be quite slow growing but mine has gone mad! I think they are pretty slow for the first year and then after that they should take off 🌿💚

Love your garden and page. I spend hours skiving at work watching your videos😊. I'm in process of trying to recreate similar in my own garden. Please can I ask. The photina pink marble at the back. I have just planted 3 spindly plants about 1.5m high in my shady North border. Although not tropical the colouring is lovely. I have them at the back to hopefully gain height and privacy. Are you finding them slow growing and do they flop over like a Bush or grown upwards like a tree? And also I bought a shefflere t recently from ebay but it's soooo tiny and has hardly grown at all since bought so I'm assuming it's super slow growing. I'm thinking of splashing out on a large one but they are hard to come by . Do you like yours? Do you find it any better (value and appearance) than the normal fatsia? I've also got a normal fatsia and a spiders web in back border but worrying up north where I am spider might not make it through winter. Thank you again.

Missing your videos so re watching. The ensete in pot at 20sec. It looks like it has a lip around the top. Does it make it difficult to dog it out to remove from the pot for winter? Thanks
@TropicalPlantAddict3 жыл бұрын
😀🌴🌺 It wasn’t too bad to get out but as it grows it will become more difficult so I might have to get a bigger pot at some point. The pot I currently use during the summer is plastic and slightly flexible

Thank you! Yes I have, but it never flowered during the 2 years I had it so I ended up selling it 🌿🌸
@Juju-rd9hb4 жыл бұрын
@@TropicalPlantAddict If you have 40+ plumerias, about 30% of them will be in flower during the season (and then take a break the next 1-2 seasons) but admittedly it gets crazy in the winter, when they all have to come indoors ;) (and they get big!!)
