When I picked up the ukulele at the beginning of the pandemic, one of my goals was to get so good I could translate this song from the banjo to the ukulele. I can’t wait to give this tutorial a try. Thank you.

Stu, finally a banjolele tutorial. The internet fairies have been listening, I really love this song and last year (usual Pandemic story), i tried to play this. You, sir, have made this so much easier. Thanks.

This is an extremely clear and well thought out tutorial. From the time stamps to the explanation, mimicking other instruments on the track and including anecdotes of what you struggled with, it culminates in an amazing tutorial that makes you want to try and believe you will succeed. I’ll be making my first patreon pledge after seeing this. If this is the quality we get from a free KZbin clip I can only imagine what the packages include. This was my late fathers favourite song which he showed me on his death bed. I’d love to be able to play it for him on my new banjolele which is being delivered tomorrow. So much more excited for it now. I’m sure it will make the purchase worthwhile and be one of those songs that my other ukes just wouldn’t do justice for. Thank you. You’re a legend.

Hi Stu, I‘m so gladful to found your Tutorial to one of my favorite Songs, I thought I never could play. Now I‘m on the way 🙂I can‘t tell it in English so we’ll, but what Noth says, is exactly what I mean: „ This is an extremely clear and well thought out tutorial. From the time stamps to the explanation, mimicking other instruments on the track and including anecdotes of what you struggled with, it culminates in an amazing tutorial that makes you want to try and believe you will succeed.„ Thank you so much. Greetings from Berlin! Annette

This is one of my favorit songs I never thought it would be possible to play it on the uke as a single instrument. Thank you. This will need a lot of practice!!! If I ever make it, I will upload a Video of the result. :-) Thank you for this excellent challenge!!!

Hope Jamie goes back in production and makes one with a concert neck. I made a banjo Joe with a 10" drum head and the neck from a $20 Duke from Craigslist. It actually doesn't play half bad. The Mic is kind of overkill-- banjo ukes don't need it lol!
