@@UKLegalCarryKnives They had quite a few for sale actually. White mountain knives if I remember correctly. If I knew how good of a deal that was I would have bought two or three lol Especially since I definitely wouldn't spend the money on a replacement if I ever lost mine.

@@UKLegalCarryKnives I guess they just weren't all that popular in the states and the sellers there tried to get rid of them...

What a coincidence........ I have the same knife with the worn anodising. I stripped it down last Friday and popped down to Stuart Mitchell at Portland Works here in Sheffield. A 15 minute session with Stuart’s bead blaster and bang, back to a matte Titanium finish, which looks great!! I’m going to give it some pocket time to see how that finish stands up; if it snail trails badly (which iI think it will) it’s going in the tumbler with ceramic beads. Great knife! I deliberately ‘nipped up’ the pivot ever so slightly so it isn’t as fast to deploy as yours ......... Sheeple give you a withering look when a blade flies out!! I have a PITS Mk4 which is orders of magnitude better than the SPITS, but so it should be considering the price point! Mike deliberately made the opening a 2 stage affair, whereby you break the detent with the finger guard then continue to open with the thumb stud . Sounds complicated but it isn’t And I quote from Mike’s instructions....... Possible Future Legal Issues 1. The knife can be opened one handed but cannot be opened in a way that might be deemed a gravity knife, flick knife or flipper 2. Should one hand opening be made illegal the knives can be easily modified to be two hand opening only. Phew....... Still with me......???? Will one handed opening of a knife become an issue????? I don’t believe so, but as we all know crazy laws get passed!!!! ATB Simon

Absolutely still with you! Thanks for sharing, please if you end up doing it, do let me know how the bead tumble turns out! It's a wonderful knife, I can only imagine how good the mk4 must be then!

I’ll post the Mk4 down to you to review if you like.......????? Built like a tank!!!! Not done any pocket time, so not broken in

@@artfuldodgers Thanks for the incredibly kind offer but I couldn't bear it if anything happened to it, especially as it's damned near impossible to replace.

I just picked up a 2nd hand "never used" satin titantium PITS for a good price. It's a really good knife, but such a fingerprint/scratch magnet that I decided to do some DIY stonewashing to occupy myself during lockdown. Turned out OK in my opinion: photos.app.goo.gl/reVcSNNZ8Q7AoFnS9 photos.app.goo.gl/CM5MgjM6YiYr9iiG7
