Pete didn't treat the clean metal front the frunk. He just put a plastic screw on top of the clean metal. Well done Pete.. in 2 years it's gonna need to be completely removed and welded and stuff.. amazing job. At least put some fuller or zinc spray .. just saying.

I just had to smile when the Fitter heated the Coupling, and it didn't fit the Motor so easily. Years ago, my Scots Fitter used to chill-down the Motor Shaft by using a Co2 Fire Extinguisher, and heat the Coupling at the same time! I was a the manager at that time, and I allowed him to 'waste' a Fire Extinguisher - to get the job done quickly. I have a deep-seated interest in all Classic Evs, and I own a '71 EV Beetle with the std Netgain Hyper 9 / 5 x Tesla Model S battery Modules. It's been close to 5 years since the conversion, and I love it! That Fiat looks to be in exceptional condition, and those suicide doors give added appeal. One thing that isn't mentioned much when EV converted Classic Cars are discussed is the subject of Depreciation. You can spend your hard-earned money on a Chinese EV, and I admit that they look great and do the job. But the depreciation in the first year can be higher than 35%. More than this, if something goes wrong, is the technical back-up & spares available - to get you moving again? Classic EVs do not depreciate, so factor this in when you consider switching over......
