Both Ukraine and Russia are claiming to have made new advances in the Kursk region.
Pictures released by a Ukrainian military unit claim to show the start of the incursion into Russia. Kyiv says its has taken control of Sudzha, the largest Russian town to fall to Ukraine since the cross-border operation began.
Moscow says it has recaptured one village in Kursk, and that it would send additional forces to the neighbouring Belgorod region. A Kremlin aide told state media that Ukraine would not have attacked Russian territory without direct support from the West.

I can tell you that Ukraine most likely do not know the end game themselves, they were most likely surprised how easy it was for them and how easy the Russians ranaway /surrendered, i am convinced that the ukranians are just making it up as they go. I think their purpose was to disrupt the Russian army and create a bit of a buffer zone. I also think that you're right and that they didn't expect the success that they have achieved. That means if they go too far into Russian territory they will have supply problems as they didn't plan for it. They need to proceed with caution and consolidate their gains.
@Ofasia777
@Ofasia777 25 күн бұрын
Which is more or less exactly as it is. Ukrainians understand the war could last years with endless branching scenarios, so just taking endlessly favorable fights (as far as possible) makes sense. Planning is necessary and goals are cute but it can only accomplish so much for an army lacking redundancy in everything and particularly the airforce, such as Ukraine.

Tiếng Việt sau nầy; bây giờ là tiếng Anh. Ukraine's successful advance into Russia at such depth in such a short time => Russian defence is very, very bad (and Russia is about to surrender), # or Russians let open a trap, # or Russian people now have a mortal reason for a do-or-die war. # The main purpose of this Ukrainian attack into Russia is MONEY + MONEY + PROFIT. # Ukraine would need at least 200.000 troops attacking Russia on many fronts if it hopes to make a significant change to its current grim situation. # With only a few thousand troops in a pocket on Russian territory, the Ukrainians would soon all perish, or surrender. # Maybe the real purpose of this Ukrainian suicidal attack is to draw NATO troops into the war. # => Larger war, more soldiers => More profit for the US coorporate owners' war-making business of selling ammunitions and guns, bombs and tanks, military hats and boots, .... plus LNG (replacing Russia's) and wheat (replacing Ukraine's), plus Ukraine's signing debt papers non-stop, plus Ukraine selling its land and assets on the cheap, .... # That is, more profit for the US thousand-billion-dollar business.

I believe it doesn't matter whether Ukraine had explicit approval from the West to attack Russian territory. Once the attack occurred, the West had no choice but to accept it. This action also demonstrated that while Putin may issue a response, a nuclear one is highly unlikely. Using a nuclear weapon would result in the loss of support from many, if not all, countries-perhaps with the exception of North Korea.

That’s what Ukraine tactics to force Russia to move some of their forces from the occupied territory as it will reduce RUSSIA’s continued advance to the Ukranian side, Ukraine might hold that frontline or even move forward and retake some smaller villages taken by the Orcs.

This guy is exactly right. I studied SC strategy for many years, and only the highest level players would send out a small attack force whilst under siege, and then call that attack force back once the enemy is forced to use resources to respond to it. It is a much better cost to effect ratio to do it that way than to not most of the time. Of course if the taken area isn't being attempted to be retaken by the enemy, the it's a low cost and worthwhile to keep it. You just have to react to what gets you the most done for the least cost at all times. If it's effective, keep going. If it gets bogged down and costly, change course.

Yesterday there were videos (Ruzzian Telegram channels) of Ruzzian soldiers being packed onto trains and moved from the East front into Kursk. So, it's not a question of IF they will bite the bait, but of how much they will bite. The entire video is a waste of time, as it operates on several days old info... For example, yesterday they hit 2 bridges in Kursk with small fire. No mention to that. Just now, they have just hit hard onto one of the bridges in Kursk taking it down. By the time that gets evaluated into DW it will be old.

First of all-Satellites capture the Russian troop and equipment movement, where the termites come crawling out of. In other words, exposing Russian man power and locations. Goodness, can the Europeans just *leave both Ukraine and Russia alone* for God's sake?? Poles in 1612. Swedes in 1708. French in 1812. Germans in 1941. Now, the AmeriBrits in 2024 (whose proxy army contains Poles, Swedes, French, and Germans). OK, you say you are not European and then "why Europeans keep trying to invade Russia". Please just read some history about how USSR/Russia became the size they are now, starting from Kievan Rus.
