The journalist also has an issue in understanding what a mercenary is and how they are used in the Ukraine.... a mercenary is a soldier who is hired for service in the army of a foreign country...so any foreign soldier qualifies as one.... the large defence organizations call their guns for hire: "security contractors" or "private military contractors".
