War is, as the Americans would call it, a zero sum game! We have international courts to abitrate on disputes involving different nations. However, the most serious drawback is that the loser may just ignore the decision if it's against its interests. Might is often regarded as right! Just imagine the thousands of lives unnecessarily lost in addition to the thousands of buildings destroyed. In addition, the billions, if not trillions of money spent to destroy lives and properties could very well be used to improve the lives of the participants of the war!! Instead, now vast sums must be spent on reconstruction if and when the war ends.

I grew up in the United States, at the top of my street was my friends grandfather he was a former German soldier that fought I. WW2 he became a us citizen, across the street lived an air force Colonel, a n the other side of my street across from the German soldier and the American air for Colonel was a Portoguese paratrooper, whom jumped into Angola, two houses down was my house my father A former Marine that fought in Vietnam, also an Army Colonel at the end of my dead end street, and also another Marine and Other military personnel, all one community made a great place to grow up, free doing what we wanted
