Ukraine has changed warfare forever. We don't know how this will be used going forward, there is an industry just waiting to be built once the war is over. Kamikaze drones, I'm surprised Japan didn't think of it first. In fact, people who are just trying to get by are showing ingenuity by making things remote control, like clearing mines. There are applications for this outside Ukraine that could help clear mines from WW2.

Russia has always used numbers to win wars. That's how 20 million Russians died in WWII. Stain didn't care about the life lost as long as they followed their orders. The same is true with Putin. But IF that were true, you must also say that because the US sent Russia jeeps, trucks, food, etc. after Hitler rejected Russia as an ally and invaded,….as the US being the REAL country that won WW2. Russia just got helped by the US, who actually won. What Ukraine ACTUALLY gets from the US is mainly 1% of older US tanks and other equipment that would otherwise have sat on US bases for 10 more years or so, then be scraped. A smart move and no loss for the US. Trump has a LONG history of turning on or abandoning his helpers, with no reward, once they have given Trump what he wants. Trump will happily do so to Putin/Russia now that he is elected.

During the Korean war (1950-53) it wasn't just US and South Korea against the North Koreans. US was just larger part of the U.N. support for RoK. United States, United Kingdom, Australia, Netherlands, Canada, France, New Zealand, Philippines, Turkey, Thailand, South Africa, Greece, Belgium, Luxembourg, Ethiopia and Colombia were all involved

North Korea has the largest standing army per capita (other than maybe Eritrea; but I think they're actually above). What they deployed for Russia is less than 1% of their standing army without reservists.

So NK can put many malnourished people into uniforms and say they have “x” troops, but it’s a false equivalence. "Leaders" who conflate strategy and tactics most often lead to defeats. As a commander my job is to decide on a strategy, then relay that to the senior sergeant for him or her do their best to devise and implement the necessary tactics to achieve success. Both the Russians and North Koreans are hampered by their sergeant's being totally untrained and having no real authority. For that matter, even the Junior Officers lack the authority and training to follow the tactics forced on them by higher command.

My buddy on the front with the chosen has said differently.. in his experience it seems to be a constantly changing battlefield.
