very interesting review, but I would a bite correct it. initially Ukraine was independent (other name is Ruthenia | Rus | Kyivan Rus) and later (from 13 to 17 centuries) with Lithuania and in the first Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth - Ukraine (other name is Ruthenia or Rus) was a full-fledged partner, a subject and not the possessions of others. during Soviet times, Russian propaganda distorted the history of the Lithuanian-Ruthenia state formation and the first Polish-Lithuanian-Ruthenia Commonwealth. as a result, many international historians who have taken research from Moscow have such a Soviet lens and perspective.

@@hryhoriinikonchuk5004 you can make that argument very easily. Our modern perception of Italy and Germany as we know it only existed until the 19th century. Before then it was a wide assortment of different kingdoms many of the times often fighting each other. Speaking languages, while similar, are different enough. As kingdoms unify, the languages also unify. What at one point many different languages and dialects, one dominates. In Spain for example, the Castelian dominated and became what we know as Spanish despite the many many related languages and dialects. Sometimes these languages are extremely different from their modern day counterparts they evolved into. Unfortunately history is never cut and dry. Sometimes the ancient civilizations that settled in the soil you live on today are completely unrelated to you or sometimes can be determined to be your direct ancestors. Sometimes you can be related to them, but so can a lot of other nations in the region. Kievan/Kyivan Rus is related to Russia and Belarus as it is to Ukraine despite it being located in the general geographic area of modern day Ukraine. Even the Finnish and the Swedes can claim some sort of relation and decendance from the Kievan/Kyivan Rus.
@rommarov2 жыл бұрын
As a Ukrainian i can state that this is untrue. Ukraine was independent before that. Kyivan Rus (Yes, it is Ukraine and Kyiv was it's metropolia whilist Moscow was founded centuries later by the Pricne Dolgorukiy who was born and is buried here in Kyiv. After that comes Kingdom of Galicia and Volynhi and after that Zaporoshia Host (Sich).

May I have a question? Is that Bittner pistol, what the commander holds in front image? And can you make video about our (Czechoslovakia) legions? Only ones, after medieval mongolians, who conquered whole south siberia.

If you're inquiring about the thumbnail, it seems the pistol is a so-called "Obrez" - a makeshift handgun derived from a cut-down 3-line rifle (Mosin-Nagant).

@@siegheilyolo když bolševik zdrhá víš že můžeš jít dál. (When bolshevik runs you know you can go forward) Bij bolshevika! A toho se budu i po zbytek života držet! By the way we kept our word to Tsar, we fought enemies of Russia, but when russians asked us to help them reconquer their homeland, from traitorous bolshevik, we told them we will rather fight with them, than with nazis, which is actualy forgoten by Putin and his incompetent stalinist based government.

That's a sawed-off Mosin,though it's not accurate for time period. They first appeared after WW2 when government has banned pistols and full-auto weapons,and was taking away war trophies(mostly firearms) from civilians. People were allowed to keep rifles so then they have started to make "pistols" to kill deputies Other name for Obrez is "Goodbye nardep"

Actually we had a relatively discipline so called 'Ukrainianised regiments' of ex-russian army in a number of 100k ready to fight bolsheviks back in 1917, but because of absolutely criminal orders of pro-bolshevik forces in Ukraine's government our army dwindled to 40k in two months... We could've won back then, and not lose in 1921 because at the start of the russia-Ukrainian war they had very indisciplined army and 150k (only 50k, not 900k more!) to fight us
