Ukraine will be taking Alyosha to Eurovision 2010 with the song "Sweet People".
This song replaced her first song "To Be Free" after complaints it was not an original track.
"Sweet People" has been written and composed by Olena Kucher, Borys Kukoba and Vadim Lisitsa.

Great song, great voice, great lyrics! The message is really touching! She reminds me of Anouk ("nobody's wife" singer). She has 100 points from me. i believe the final top if the contest wasn't fair for some countries like Ukraine, Ireland and Portugal.

The reason that this song did not win is that the first 90 seconds of the song were to difficult to follow..After that it explodes. But do not forget that winning the contest normally means that you did not have the best song.

@LadyAnimeManiac Probably because you allready know the story of the Ukrainean national song selection, and now either want everybody else to know, or your knowledge mix up with the real impressions of the song itself. In my opinion 80 % of the songs in Eurovision's probably "reminding" you of other songs, this is actually an exception.

I se now why Paula Seling said to the press in Romania that she can't understand why Europe didn't rank Alyosha and Sophia (Georgia) higher ,because they have a great voice,the best this year:)She liked a lot the songs:)Paula,Alyosha,Sophia re 1000 better than the winner,Lena couln't sing not even 10 seconds from the songs:P
