I worked in an intelligence unit with many high security file cabinets. In the bottom of each was a thermite device that we were to drop in the top drawer and then lock the cabinet in the event our building was overrun. We were told that the device would burn down thru all the drawers and destroy everything inside. These were vault like cabinets, with combination locks and thick possibly fire resistant insulation so the heat would have been really intense.

Thermite grenades, used by the military will burn through a cast iron engine block from top to bottom. They can also burn through an artillery breech block when dropped down an elevated barrel. I would imagine if you set one on a tank it would burn through the hull too.

I'm not liking these computer voiced videos at all. Just something disturbing about them. I mute them and try and read along but the subs interfere and compete with the usual text that sometimes shows. And then I just move on. Stick with your usual video w/music format. It works very well.
