One thing to remember is that Britain and the US are supposed to protect and assist Ukraine from russian aggression. That's why they gave up the nukes they had from the soviet period. russia can't be allowed to win the repercussions for Europe would be catastrophic, he won't stop at Ukraine.

Long-range missiles can only be operated by NATO. Ukraine can at most only be a platform. So essentially NATO has to target lock and launch the NATO missile into Russian territory. Sounds like ww3

Against Russia? Remember the UK is one of only 3 nations considered to be a global power with a global reach. Russia is not one of them. A land war is the only metric Russia outmatches the UK on and the UK wouldn't ever be fighting a land war against Russia alone.

This is not about NATO expansion. Putin claims he doesn't want to have NATO countries on his border but if he had taken control of Ukraine like he wanted, then that land would have then become part of Russia. Which in turn would have put Russia on the border with more NATO countries than they already were at the start of the war.

Which he could have done easily as they had plenty of money & plenty of land to offer. That way he could have avoided war. That is the way that it should always be done if you feel that people who are ethnicly like yourself are being persocuted then offer them a place back in their motherland & if they don't accept then they are on their own. Putin is just using these people as an excuse to go into another country, he encourages them to live elsewhere & then wether true or not complains that said people are being persocuted & then uses that as an excuse to invade.
