Nice lessons! I'm brazilian and I'm trying to learn Ukrainian!! My great-grandparents had come from Ukraine to Brazil because of the 1st World War! Here in the south of Brazil have a city called Prudentopolis and 80% of the population are Ukrainian!

Another informative video Olga. When you say Світанок do you mean Dawn? (pronunciation rhymes with born). I maybe wrong, but does anyone from America know what a fortnight is? in Briton we use it all the time.

We don't use it a lot in the U.S. anymore, but it is known. Also, here Dawn sounds almost the same as the name Don.

You'll be better off teaching people how to tell the time instead if teaching words like decade or fortnight. What is the chance of a Ukrainian beginner student ever having to use those words?
