Vocals & arrangement by Farya Faraji, violin by Mikhail Bugaev. This is a Croatian folk song from the region of Koprivnica, and the arrangement emulates the northeast Croatian sound that is similar to folk music in neighbouring regions of Hungary. Lyrics in Croatian: Čula jesam da se dragi ženi - srce moje! Nek se ženi, to je drago meni - srce moje! Jagoda črlen', jagoda malen' Pozdravi mi v Koprivnici dragoga Jagoda črlena, jagoda malen' Pozdravi mi v Koprivnici dragoga I ja ću mu u svatove doći - srce moje! I ja ću mu lepi dar donesti - srce moje! Jagoda črlena, jagoda malen' Pozdravi mi v Koprivnici dragoga Jagoda črlen', jagoda malena Pozdravi mi v Koprivnici dragoga V levoj ruki kitu ružmarina - srce moje! V desnoj ruki malenoga sina - srce moje! Jagoda črlena, jagoda malen' Pozdravi mi v Koprivnici dragoga Jagoda črlena, jagoda malen' Pozdravi mi v Koprivnici dragoga Jagoda črlena, jagoda malen' Pozdravi mi v Koprivnici dragoga English translation: I did hear about my darling getting married, I did hear about my darling getting married. May he get married, I'm also glad. May he get married, I'm also glad. Well, I will too come to his wedding, Oh, I will too come to his wedding. I will bring him nice presents, I will bring him nice presents. In my left hand a rosemary bundle,* In my left hand a rosemary bundle. And in the right one my small son, And in the right one my small son.

While singing you say ”jagoda malen', jagoda črlena' ” but in description it's ”jagoda črlena, jagoda malen' ”, is it interchangeable?
@lucimicle56573 ай бұрын
I am trying to sing along and the switch throws me off.
@looka6983 ай бұрын
It is interchangeable in terms of meaning. "Jagoda malena" means "my little strawberry" and "jagoda črlena" means "my dark-red strawberry", the order doesn't change the meaning and it's grammatically correct both ways, with "strawberry" here being used as term of endearment by the woman for her former lover. The order as Farya sings it "jagoda malena, jagoda črlena" is traditionally correct, idk why the lyrics in the description swap the lines out.
