Hi Ifti. Great video. I'm gonna get one of these and see how it compares to the Media Mod setup. The instant access to the battery and SD card with the Ulanzi looks like it would save a lot of time and would be a lot less hassle when you're out and about filming, where the time taken to do the same thing with the Media Mod really does feel like an age and gets quite frustrating. The media mod is well overpriced for what it is IMO. I'll pick one up when they are in stock for review, but from my initial impressions the mic on it isn't so great. I'd rather attach a Rode Wireless Go as I feel thats the best setup......

Loved that you have shown setup details. While it's neat to hear about features in general it's nice to see them in action. Also things like weight or the fact the finger is detachable are useful information. Keep it up!

I have used Ulanzi accessories in the past for GoPro. They are generally well made and serve their purpose well. I have been waiting for them to introduce items for the new GoPro for a while. I will definitely order this!

Should have put a link to the cage not the camera. Big mistake. Adorama has it in stock for $33.94 US. Amazon still gives results for Go Pro 7. B & H says " New Product " and wants you to go on a wish list. Jiminy Cricket time there.

No, the cameras are different sizes and the cages are created as such.

I put the Ulanzi G8-7 Door on the side instead of the door that comes with the G8-5 as it has a huge gap at the top which could let rain in :-/

Hey buddy, I bought everything from your video. The 52 mm gobe adjustable filter I could not get screwed on to the cage. Any helpful ideas?

Mine went on quite easy - try applying a tiny amount of grease? Maybe the threads just need to catch properly.....

Yes it is. I believe they also do a plastic version as well, which is slightly different.

No, it isn't. The USB-C port is exposed to rain and dust.

Unlike most Ulanzi prods I have, I can't stand this one. Glad I got it on sale for $9 cause its gonna sit in the box and collect dust. Frame is way too thick. Could be half the thickness on 3 of the 4 sides and still be plenty sturdy. Because of the bulk, it's impractical for most situations where you would use a GoPro for its light weight. As to the quality, I had a helluva a time getting the optional piece off the top. Still haven't been able to open or remove the battery door (stuck). Filter threads are crap.

With the battery door removed the camera is no longer waterproof.
