He makes it look effortless. I stood about 15 feet from him when I last saw Ulcerate. He never even broke a sweat. When he was done, he stood up, waived to the crowd and walked off like it wasn't shit. I almost went home and burned my drums.
@Centerpieceofmind5 ай бұрын
Haha, good thing you didn't burn them. It's all in the technique. Playing fast bpm's infefinetly is all in the ankle movement. Conservation of energy ..

I've seen Nile in a small venue once and Kollias looked like he was dying the whole set. Like... eyes closed, drenched in sweat and had 2 giant fans blowing on him. Nile drumming is obviously completely different from Ulcerate's.

Such a fucking underrated band. This new album is so perfect to me, absolutely killer drummer too. One of those drummers you can just watch in awe and dream about being as good as.

I started drumming because of Jamie and every time I finish watching one of his performances I have to get up and go play immediately. Every strike feels meaningful and methodical. Jamie's drumming adds another dimension of creativity that is rarely heard in extreme music. A deep understanding and respect for the instrument, something every musician should strive for.

His rolls and fills always slightly break my mind. He always finds unique ways to satisfy what my brain expects to hear musically while defying what it expects to hear rhythmically.
