for sure Uli been influenced so much by Hendrix but in this song, it was mixed with a kinda Al Dimeola licks style, a little bit like M.Schenker made at times in songs like Mother Mary and more later in stuff of his solo career .....

This song blew my doors off when I first heard it in HS. Ulrich was the first guitarist to make my jaw drop to the floor.

Thanks for the post Hippie Steve. I saw Uli after his 19 year U.S. hiatus, Milwaukee in 2004.Uli + Michael were my last concert. Uli's people reserved me a seat as I could not stand. Hopefully a surgery I have next week works miracles as I'd love to see this show, with VIP in San Antonio.

I prefer the long sustains than a flurry of notes. It detracts what made the song. So great. It was restraint/attack etc. even greatness gets overshadowed by ego

Exhibit A as to why I consider Uli Roth the best rock guitarist of all-time (exceeding Hendrix b/c he took those techniques and went further with them). Nobody I've heard even dares cover this song; and it would be great song to cover...... if someone could.
