The intelligence of your informative videos, based on honesty, integrity, and the truth, in which you serve your customers is why you are successful and TRUSTED. Truth is the truth . . . and people soon come to understand when they have been lied to, given hype and taken advantage of; therefore, with so many charlatans willing to do whatever it takes for instant wealth -- even at the customer's expense, those who are in for the long-haul soon come to understand that loyalty is earned, and a successful business is based upon ethics, honesty, and helping rather than deceiver their customer base. In essence -- it all returns dividends for everyone and no one becomes the loser.

I know that you guys all have a lot to tell as I could go on for months talking about all my experiences, the only problem would be people watching but I feel that people would enjoy it, I certainly would!

Hi there, thank you for the video! Question, with the way Triton wants you to arrange your sump to have the fuge as the first chamber can one still cultivate pods there that have any chance of making it back to the display or is that asking too much of this setup?

I like ur answers on Both methods, why have a no maintenance tank, then u won’t look at it or worry about it, then the problems start, they are ur pets, who doesn’t pet ur dog or take it for a walk, it may be a pain sometimes but I wouldn’t change it for anything!

Great stuff, just bought an Kessil H160 and hoping for some good chaeto growth as is hanging right over the chaeto in 11 inches of water or so. Will be researching more into the Triton method although water changes are not too much of a hassle since I plumed my refugium to the drain and my salt mix (and RODI) basin. But still saving money would be good...

Awesome Update Ryan and thank you for bringing this much awaited update. The only negative i can think off from any average reefer's point towards Triton method is you have to send your water samples atleast 3 times a year to stay ontop of your parameters. If Triton can reduce the cost of testing the samples it will be great as it definetly be a deal breaker for reefers. Thanks again....

Another perfect video. How much does all the testing for the Triton method cost? I mean, it looks like, at first at least, your going to be sending in a lot of samples to set your base levels and pre and post your first adjustments , then, you need to test periodically overtime too. So, whats all that testing gonna cost?

i'm a huge BRS fan--HUGE--- and because of these freaking videos, i've dumped way too much money into this hobby in just a few months. however. the triton method videos.... radion videos.... and the kessil fuge light videos...imho, they've been hammered more than enough. i'm a noob, but i'm gonna assume the average reefer doesn't want to bother with the triton, and if they do, one (or none) video is probably sufficient. same can be said with a 300$ purple light that is stored under a cabinet. its a hobby for a reason. thousands of people my disagree, but it's fun to dick around with gadgets. it's fun to buy new equipment that i probably don't even need. it's really fun to try to imitate some of the things y'all do, and i look forward to the new videos every week. but the triton chatter is about to destroy me. i understand that BRS is all about innovation and researching the next great thing..i get that..but i'm just saying.....a few chemistry graphs and test tubes isn't nearly as fun as the other videos or aspects of the hobby. You're probably thinking i'm a total a-hole at this point, but thats not my intention! i just had to speak up before i go mad. how about more on the physical and less on the chemical or spectral. (tell us better ways to use what we have instead of 'hey dose this weekly and your corals will like it'). how about a cool video on the "tips and tricks" of the perfect sump rather than a seemingly sponsored video by triggered. (i'd guess less than 5% of reefers would be willing to spend 500$ on a clear box that they could make in a day for less than 50$. that money is better spent on corals or fish!...or another whole tank system!) maybe a cumulative video on "what i wish i had done differently about my plumbing/lighting/quarantining". or even get with other youtube celebs like melevsreef/coralfish12g/fishofhex/milehigh/mrSWTV/madhatter/ and do a mini series with them, or a challenge thing between y'all, like joey and the water change... just trying to throw some more ideas out there. last critical thing i want to say (and hopefully this is perceived as constructive criticism and not a hateful rant): it seems like each ULM video is a gateway to advertise a product that is then sold at 15% discount for the next week. ok. i'm going to end on a positive note....go re-read the first sentence. BRS is what every company should strive to be. you guys are amazing! i even have your christmas card on my fridge still!
@DrGlennRudolph
@DrGlennRudolph 6 жыл бұрын
Point taken as well. BRS is BRS due to objective views on what works and the science behind it (and probably more so because the customer service is on-point), and therefore helping reefers be better reefers. my comment was completely subjective, and i can see how it differs from the goal of BRS. maybe i just got carried away in my elaboration on how it seems like it has been nothing but lighting and triton lately....or maybe thats just where we are headed.. either way, i'm still excited for tomorrow's video, and all videos to come.

I am totally on board for this, and I'm about to give it a try, but I'm curious about the quick comment that was made about still cleaning the sand. That is still going to pull a decent amount of water out that is replaced, so it seems to still count as a water change, even if it's smaller. I really want to know how much they pull out when syphoning the sand. I run a bare bottom tank, but I will still be syphoning detritus, so I'm concerned that I'll actually pull a lot less water with that than this tank got, and it'll effect the end result. Any info on amount pulled from sand cleaning? As always, thanks for your work here. You're an irreplaceable source of knowledge.

I have a question. The Triton method is the new buzz word. Every tank I see that is running the Triton method seems to be a low stocked tank. I have a 500+ tank with over 50 fish currently but will be more like around 70 when finish stocking the tank. Do you think long term that the Triton method could work on a heavy stocked tank also.

Hey can you explain exactly how triton is ulm when you have to add specific elements everyday? I know you can add a doser but with the number of elements in triton, wouldn’t that mean tons of dosing pumps? I’m super intrigued with triton but I would not want to have to add something everyday with work and life in the way.

Hi! I have 2x XF230 gyres, but I dont have an apex to control them so I just use the normal advanced maxspect control panel. I am currently running the LTC mode as all the different settings I can adjust is a little confusing to me. My tank is 130 gallons, and I have zoas, different lps, and a hystrix. Is the LTC or the OGC programs good enough to use, or do you recommend I try to set up a 24 hour custom cycle? Since I can set up 24 set points, can I mimic your cycle with the maxspect controller? Thanks!

That’s twice the 160 has had a problem that could have been prevented easily just buy having your APEX fully setup and alters programmed.

BulkReefSupplyCom I’m sure. I’ve done exactly the same thing, I just realized how bad it sounded. But I think it’s great that you share these details. Not only helps awareness but let’s us know you are human as we are. Is it just me or did the acros really take off?
